I am in love with "Carousel". I've been listening to it repeatedly.

For those of you interested in the half-moon necklace, Stevie gives them to all her special friends. She's been doing it since the 70's.

OOOOO that is so wonderful!  Do you know where does she gets them?

Unfortunately, I don't. Otherwise I would have one myself, too!  ;)

I am so confused by this. What is this movie you guys are talking about and what books and what do they have to do with the Amazing song Twilight?

Thank you very much for posting the link to that article. I really enjoyed reading it! And I can't wait for Vanessa to start work on a new album!  :)

Yeah we ripped it apart when it first was released

Heck I ripped it apart. lol. To this day I still think it's much better without Stevie on back up.

As a huge Stevie Nicks fan myself, I'd have to say that the online group is torn half and half.

There's the group who loves Vanessa (like myself) and there is the group who does not understand what Stevie sees in this girl.

As far as the comment made above, I'd take it as positive. Heck, he critisized Stevie, (nasally voice on The One) before he said anything about Vanessa. Calling someone the underdog is not a negative comment. If anything it's something nice, in a way saying he hopes she pulls through and gets the recognition she deserves.

Part 2 of Soundstage is on tonight, guys. Circle Dance and The One will be shown with Vanessa (as far as I know).

I thought it sounded kiddish the first time I listened to it, and I still do, but ironically the "It's like you never left" part became my favorite.

Very cool! Were you at the show Amber?

No, I was not. I wish I could have been! Four hours with Stevie Nicks and Vanessa Carlton...oh yeah!

I got all that information from a Stevie Nicks message board. Here's some tidbits of information provided from the Ledge, Vanessa being mentioned a few times:

Trivia/highlights
-- Venue held 388 people, overbooked by some 100 ppl, some were turned away.
-- Guests had to go through metal detectors and were required to check in their electronic devices -- such as cell phones, digital cameras, etc.
-- Everyone received laminated pass with picture of Stevie.
-- Everyone was encouraged to stand up and cheer loudly.
-- Chicago models (men and women) were hired to mix in with the crowd (for TV).
-- Taping took 4 hours (8pm - midnight). Stevie performed for approximately 2-3 hours.
-- Stevie wore her boots, the serious ones. She wore the same costumes as the ones on the regular tour.
-- Stevie was vocally strong. Landslide was dedicated to her dad and was especially touching in the intimate setting.
-- Stevie wore top hat and scarf during Rhiannon
-- Crash into Me was much better than Rosemont. Stevie was more comfortable, infused her own style, and really played up the skirt hiking lyric.
-- The One and Circle Dance were performed twice. Landslide may have been recorded again after the show, according to the set list.
-- Vanessa played a grand piano during The One. Stevie sat on a stool.

-- Stevie said performing Circle Dance was inspired by the song's idea of entertainers getting bored at home when they are not "on the road" entertaining. (Newsflash: Stevie gets bored at home.)
-- Stevie did her trademark Edge Walk, shaking hands with fans.
-- Instrumental intro to Edge of Seventeen had to be re-recorded.
-- Stevie revealed that Soundstage would be her last concert taping and that the audience should support Vanessa Carlton and other younger female singer-songwriters, who represent the future because she would not be around forever
-- One fan randomly made a joke about the "skirt hiking" during a long silence. Crowd laughter ensued.
-- One fan requested "Wild Heart." More crowd laughter.
-- Stevie hugged Vanessa, tapped on Vanessa's bra/breasts (apparently she was wearing something revealing), and made some hysterical comment. Vanessa had a smirk on her face. Stevie also slapped Vanessa's butt. (Whoa, chummy!)-- One fan met Lori on the way to the bathroom. Fan was speechless. Lori laughed.
-- One fan saw Waddy in the bathroom. (Yikes)
-- Soundstage MC announced that Stevie's performance would be broadcast early next year, and DVD would also be available sometime next year.

Soundstage is a concert series on PBS. Sometimes they release the entire show on DVD, which I am hoping they do!

I also just heard that Vanessa came out and did Rock and Roll with Stevie too.

I didn't see a topic on this anywhere, but if there is, I apologize.

Just wanted to let you know that Vanessa was a guest at Stevie's soundstage taping in Chicago last night. They recorded The One (Vanessa playing piano) and they also did Circle Dance by Bonnie Raitt together. No piano for that song, both were standing.

As of right now no pictures or boots have surfaced. More than likely we'll all have to wait for the new Soundstage season (Jan.) to begin to see it.

I understand that Come Undone has a long intro. They don't have to take it out completely, just shorten it. And the outro can be shortened a little bit too just to equal everything out. I don't think it's such a bad idea.

I'm no expert at choosing hit singles, but imo I don't think they should release Hands on Me. Maybe it's just because I don't like how the studio version turned out. I think they should release Come Undone.
