Check out this band!  I've been listening to a couple of their tracks and they are awesome!  You can hear some complete songs from the album at their website:  http://www.theredwest.com/

Many people only think of her as a model or actress, but she also has an album and several songs on other albums/soundtracks.  You can check out some of her demos here.  You should also make sure to check out Rocket Collecting on the Underworld soundtrack.

I just got done playing this game for the PS2 (Although it is on all the 3 major consoles and the PC as well) and I must say I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a game this much.  It was designed so that the game was just fun, yet challenging, and it played out like a movie.  The only time I had to resort to getting some help was for the final boss and that's because when I got there I had to beat him within a half hour if I wanted to finish the game before my friend had to go home for the winter break and take the game with him.  If I had more time I probably could have figured out his secret on my own.  Anyway, bottom line is that it was an awesome game, and if you like games similar to the format of Jak and Daxter, but can handle a serious storyline and plot, you will LOVE this game.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Article in Jan 2004 PlayStation Magazine [SCANS]
« on: December 07, 2003, 03:22:14 pm »
There is a one page interview with Vanessa in The Official PlayStation Magazine Jan 2004 issue.  It is on page 38.  The interview is pretty funny, but the picture is smoking hot.  BlackVulture, you may want to check this one out.    I will scan the article as soon as I can.  My friend John was the one who showed it to me so I can borrow the magazine from him to scan as soon as my roommate gets back so I can use his scanner.

Edit: The scans are below.

FAQ / Board Issues / Problems with Most Recent Post Links
« on: December 06, 2003, 04:02:16 pm »
It seems on the topics that are very popular when I click the most recent post link on the right side it takes me to a completely different post then the one it should link to.  It's the right topic, just a post that's too early.  Dunno if anyone had said anything about it before so I figured I should say something.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Ray Bradbury

The greatest literary mind of our time.  I have gotten to meet him on several occassions and he is an incredibly captivating individual.  He tells the best stories.  The night I first met him, he told this story that was so good, my mom believe it was completely true, despite being historically impossible given when Ray was born.  :)  Anyway, here is a place to discuss the man and his amazing works.

Completely Off-Topic / The Twizzlers Saga
« on: November 12, 2003, 01:07:03 pm »
Alright, with any luck you'll be seeing this on CollegeHumor.com in a little bit, but I'd thought I'd share this little bit of stupidity with all of you.  I filmed the clip that's on the link below, and the person in it is one of my best friends.  I know this is incredibly stupid, but hey, you've seen worse on the O-board, right?  Feel free to leave your comments and insults.

BTW, any insults or digs you leave for Pete (the guy in the video) will make BlackVulture a very happy man.

It may have been canceled by the SCI-FI channel, but it still remains one of the greatest science fiction shows of all time.  Hopefully we will get our movie or mini-series or miracle of all miracles another network will pick up the show.  So, all you Scapers out there, let's hear your thoughts!

One of the greatest song writers and performers of all time.  His music is amazingly powerful.  His voice is incredible and his piano-playing is astonishing.  I saw him in concert once a few years back and was forever changed by the experience.

I think he's one of the funniest comedians.  I know his humor and personality are an aquired taste, but is there anyone else out there that thinks he's a funny guy?

FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER!!

My good buddy Pete and I quote this movie at least 10 times a day on average.  It's nuts.  I've seen it more times than Star Wars, that's how good it is!  Anyone else love this movie classic?

The Rama Series:

Rendevous with Rama (by Arthur C. Clarke)
Rama II (by Arthur C. Clarke & Gentry Lee)
Garden of Rama (by Arthur C. Clarke & Gentry Lee)
Rama Revealed (by Arthur C. Clarke & Gentry Lee)
Bright Messengers (by Gentry Lee)
Double Full Moon Night (by Gentry Lee)

IMHO, this is the greatest novel series of all time, especially in the science fiction genre.  Never has a set of novels so deeply explored humanity.  For those of you that have read any of the series, what are your thoughts?
