I thought Juno was extremely self-conscious and pretentious (i.e. - like most independant cinema).

Really? Judging from who I've talked to it seems to be sort of hit or miss.  I thought it was a well done film and it really grew on me. Much better than most comedies these days IMO. Loved that it was set in Minnesota... being a Minnesotan myself.

Honestly though, my favorite 2 films of 07 have to be No Country For Old Men followed by Atonement. Brilliant.

...and Jonas Brothers?  :headshake:

well to me it kinda made sense to only have it five fathoms deep. since she sings "and sail over oceans five fathoms deep, but can't find what they want the most" and when i hear that i assume that she means that even looking through shallow oceans, they still can't seem to find what they're dying to find. almost like thinking that something obvious is easy to find when sometimes it can be very difficult. i don't know, that's probably wrong but it's a guess right? lol.

honestly, this song has yet to grow on me. i try to listen to it but usually i can't get past the intro, and if i skip the intro it just feels too slow and like it won't amount to anything. also the clapping gets annoying.
im not saying the song is bad, but definitely, in my opinion, not the best on the album.
