I saw her video on CMT a couple times now, I really enjoyed it.
Its a cover of an old Dolly Parton song.

I know not everyone is big on country, I'm not either anymore, but she's more folk than country.

If you take a look at the following  picture , let me tell you ... it is not animated.
Your eyes are making it move.  To test this, stare at one spot for a couple seconds
and everything will stop moving.  Or look at the black center of each circle and it will
stop moving.  But move your eyes to the next black center and the previous
will move after you take your eyes away from it....  Weird

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / KILL BILL (v1 & v2)
« on: October 16, 2003, 06:41:19 pm »
I'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino so I've been waiting years for this movie!
I didnt like Jackie Brown do I did have a couple doubt going in, but damn QT came through once again in a big way.
The only part of the movie I didnt like was the choice of casting Daryl Hannah. I think they could have found someone far better for that part. And theres lots more of her in the next movie too.
Gogo alone was worth the price of admission.

Who's a fan of the Alien Movie Series?
Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 & Alien: Resurrection

The cast of Aliens

I was psyched because FOX is rereleasing Alien: Director's Cut to theaters on October 31, but I just read that the number of prints is being cut from 1200 to 300! Which means only one print per major city. You cant just go to your local megaplex to see it :(
On November 11th the Alien Quadrilogy 4 pack will be released on DVD. The new director's cut of Alien, the Aliens: Special Edition, the newly restored Alien 3: Director's Cut (which used to only be available in a very low quality Editor's Work Print bootleg), and a newly restored AR too!
It's gonna be a thing of beauty.

So how many Trekkers are among us?
From the day I was born I watched The Original Series with my parents.
Then around season 3 of The Next Generation I really got into that and I became a diehard trekker!
TNG & Deep Space Nine will always be my favorites, and the ones I bought on DVD.
I've never been a big fan of Voyager or Enterprise but since its Star Trek, I've seen every episode of each.

Other Musicians / David Hodges
« on: October 08, 2003, 01:50:26 am »

The man... David Hodges.

Some people know how he fits into the history of Evanescence. He was their keyboardist and backup vocalist on their Origin & Fallen albums, but left the band in December 2002, shortly before Fallen was released.

He is also an amazing solo artist! I adore his solo album from 2000 and the work he's done on the Summit Church compilations. Now we're just waiting for his new solo album to arrive in the next few months. With the experience he gained while with Ev, I know his new album will blow the old one out of the water.
The first and only David Hodges fan site:

Which is part of Ev is not a christian band.com
On there is a list of everything he's done solo thus far and complete lyrics transcribed by myself & posi. :)

Anyone else here like Holly Valance?

I know some of you are a bit critical of her, but I like a lot of her songs... "Naughty Girl" is still my favorite. It's just got a good vibe to it, and a good video too.
