General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / This is random, but...

Yeah, I agree that most people would be able to relate to it. For some reason, though, I preferred the song when it was being played live. The slower tempo and, well, "just piano" kind of suited it more, in my opinion.

... The more I think about it, the more I realize that almost any song on her album could be a single. :O

I found Private Radio kind of fun to play. San Fransisco, which I'm learning now, is kind of hard on the wrists after a while but fun too. And All Is Well. I'd recommend those, along with the ones everyone mentioned already.

I thought I was the only one who thought this way, actually. And it's weird how with some people, the colors are the same. :S Here's my entire list:

Hands on Me - Royal blue/purple
The One - Navy Blue
Heroes and Thieves - Yellow
Fools Like Me - Sky blue mixed with lavender (not specific or anything, huh?)
Home - White-blue
My Best - Soft red
Come Undone - Golden Yellow/orange
Swindler - A deep red-brown
Pretty Baby - Lavender or white-green
Ordinary Day - Blue-green
Unsung - Orange-yellow
Sway - Dark purple
Rinse - Dark green
C'est La Vie - Orange
HAWBTW - Maroon (depends really on what part of the song)
Private Radio - Orange
San Francisco - White
Annie - Red
She Floats - Dark green/navy
Who's To Say - Sky blue
Best Behavior - Yellow
Superhero - yellow-green
All Is Well - Light blue, navy at the bridge.
Morning Sting - White

My piano teacher used to tell me to imagine pieces of songs as colors. Apparently it helps you play them with emotion.

Oh, and I'm not particularly sure if the left hand is with the eighth notes at the end or just a straight chord carried through the bar.

can anyone figure out the very last few measures of home where blueglove's transcription stops and pianoplayer's starts?

Are you talking about the last few bars where the right hand branches off into some sort of sub-melody or am I completely missing this? I've figured out a version of the former if you want me to upload it, although it's pretty easy to figure out.
