hehe i used to be a huge fan of smallville. BUt i missed out a lot of season 2 shows cos i was in taiwan and when i came back the season was ending here. Season 3 is not out yet here, *sighs*..

But I'm still a Smallville fan, nonetheless, minus the huge, lmao..

did you know that in Singapore and some country in europe (i forgot which one) it is illegal to chew gum? lol

Nope, i'm afraid that is urban legend. Not true.

LOL, i was randomly looking through the forums and I saw this one and i just HAD to post LMAO..  No, it is NOT urban legend, gum IS banned in Singapore, sinc 1989/90 i think. They banned it cos ppl would stick it all over the train and bus seats and just make a mess of it. But seems that they're gonna allow certain types of gum to be bought, but only on prescription! yes, as strange as that seems, gum can be prescribed either for dental health reasons, or for curbing cigarette addiction, and that will be the only way to get gum here legally from 2004. I personally dont think much of gum, it gets so irritating after 10minutes!

Completely Off-Topic / conjoined twins died...
« on: July 09, 2003, 06:22:21 am »
it is indeed very sad.

being one who lives in singapore where the op was held, we all felt somehow the twins were a part of our lives.

We will not forget how Ladan and Laleh always were so cheerful, enthusiastic and optimistic abt the op and made us all feel that indeed there was hope and a chance of success.

However, it was not meant to be, and now all we can do is pray for them to enjoy eternity together, yet as individuals.

May they rest in peace.

Completely Off-Topic / Jews for Jesus
« on: May 16, 2003, 09:23:30 pm »
hmmm...

jews for jesus (JJs) are actually jews. the only difference is that they are evangelical and accept jesus as the messiah. this is differs from the traditional jewish faith where we are still waiting for the messiah. i think this has been said before. but i just had to say it too! i havent posted here in ages and this is a topic that i know something abt! woop!

JJs are indeed practicers of messianic judaism. they even accept the new testament as part of the bible, which we traditional jews do not recognise.

interesting stuff.. at least JJs are not a doomsday cult... they are mainstream but they are a nuisance at times...
