Other Musicians / Hole
« on: June 25, 2006, 01:44:58 pm »
I was shocked to find that there wasn't a Hole thread here.
I kind of "discovered" them this past week. I knew of them for as long as I can remember, just never really listened to their music.
Brilliant, brilliant band. It's amazing how good Courtney Love was. I've been watching live videos of them on YouTube this whole last week.

Favorite songs : Northern Star, Awful, Violet, Celebrity Skin

This is from my TV show. That's my sister singing. I wrote the song, recorded it, and that's me playing the piano with my UCLA jacket (GO BRUINS!).

Enjoy!

Polls / Most Attractive Women?

Which country/region is notorious for having the most attractive women?
SLASH
Which country/region do you think has the most attractive women?

Girls are free to vote, as well.

I had an argument with my friend, so I thought it would be interesting to see what other people thought.

April 14th, 2006.

This is going to be pretty funny. I can't stop watching the "Shall we have a foot race?" part. Carmen Electra is so funny. I liked the third installment. This is spoofing more movies, so it should be funnier.

Creative Endeavors / My Script - Feedback Appreciated
« on: December 01, 2005, 06:11:19 pm »
Hello, everyone. If you could give me some feedback on my script (it's around 60 pages right now), I would be highly appreciative. Here's the link :

http://www.scriptbuddy.com/community/?p=4291529105&t=&pg=2

Here's a short synopsis :

A political, social, and cultural satire that takes place in the year 2036 and revolves around the death of a famous actress.

A longer synopsis :

In this cultural satire, Jonathan and Robert find themselves 30 years into the future, where the world has taken a surprising turn. While learning the events of the past 30 years, they try and find their old best friend in Hollywood.

Thanks much.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / # 24 on ET's Top 25 List
« on: October 14, 2005, 04:32:47 pm »
Vanessa was # 24 on ET (on MTV)'s Hottest 25 Stars Turning 25 this year. They had a little interview at what I think was her apartment. Vanessa M (from TRL) said something like "We've followed her since her first CD came out and now with her 3rd CD dropping soon, it looks like her career is blooming." And then Vanessa said, "I hear 25 is a good year, so hopefully it'll be good to both of us." or something like that.

Entertainment - Movies / TV / Books / Sarah Silverman : Jesus is Magic
« on: September 18, 2005, 06:25:55 pm »
This film, starring Sarah Silverman, is mostly her stand-up set, but also includes little skits and songs. Directed by Liam Lynch, the film has been at a lot of film festivals and will hit theatres November... 11th or 18th, not sure. You can view the teaser at :

http://2005.sxsw.com/video/movie_window.big.php?dir=2005_trailers&id=469&speed=hi

and the full Trailer at :

http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/650/650147p1.html

And now some Sarah Silverman one-liners :

"I saw my favorite niece this weekend. And my... other niece."

"I saw my father naked once. But it was okay, because I was soooo young . . . and sooo drunk."

"You know who has a tiny vagina? Barbie... and not Klaus Barbie, the infamous Nazi, the other, smaller Barbie."

"The writers of "Sanford and Son" were so brave in bringing their program to television. I mean, working with all those black people!"

LOL She's so funny.

Polls / Harmonium Survivor Elimination Game
« on: August 01, 2005, 07:42:17 pm »
I don't know if any of you remember the whole BnN Survivor (Sway won) shindig. Well, I thought it was about time to do another one for Harmonium... but instead of cluttering the Polls thread with voting things, I think it would be better if we did an elimination game instead. Here are the rules for the game.

a. Every song starts with 10 points, so there are 110 points over all to be divided up.
b. You choose one song to take a point away from and another song to give a point to. For example :

Who's To Say 10
Annie 10
San Francisco 10

-1 Annie/+1 Who's to Say

Who's to Say 11
Annie 9
San Francisco 10

c. You have to show some sort of indication as to which song you took away from and gave to... it can get confusing.
d. If a song has 0 points, it is out.
d. If at least one song did not get 0 points by every Friday, an elimination round will be held. Whichever song has the least points is eliminated.
e. You are only allowed to vote once every week. If a song is eliminated during the week, you can't vote until Friday.
f. When there is only one song left, that is the Survivor champion, joining the ranks of "Sway".
g. Any questions, just ask.
h. It's all in good fun. Don't get upset if your favorite song is eliminated. HAVE FUN!

Begin!

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / White Houses Cover/Parody
« on: July 28, 2005, 07:56:38 pm »
Hi, I rated "White Houses" 10/10 at random on my Rotten Tomatoes and I got this message...

"Wimbledon is actually quite good! I loved the cinematography in that film...it was very "Matrix-like." Please, wait to see Dark Water until it comes out -- as well as the Island. I haven't seen Fantastic Four, but I hear similar things.

If you like White Houses by Vanessa Carlton, you may like White Houses by...me. I did a parody version of her song. Be sure to check it out on my site --

http://www.collegeisamovie.com/editingroom/whitehouses.php"

It's almost as bad as Kimya Dawsom's parody!  :D
