I love this film enough to have taken a digital copy of the A3 promotional poster for the film's February release in Japan,
and had a play with it in Corel Painter 11. Still one more lighting effect to be added before I get it printed on a t-shirt  8)

Hi Clarice

Below is a PNG version of a RIFF I made for use as a Custom Brush in Corel Painter 11.

Not sure if there are supposed to be multiple elements in these, so I created this also

I have a feeling that my demo version of Corel Painter 11 isn't going to allow me add it

See the tutorial PDF at the link below;

Polls / Opera 11
« on: December 30, 2010, 03:30:26 am »
I was using Safari 5.0.3, but since I've switched to Opera, there's been no looking back (except when hyper-links load in Safari on my Mac Mini).
Opera (now using version 11), has proved to be a much more secure browser, making mallware & spyware a thing of the past. Safe Surfing here  8)

thx =)
for graphics using pictures I prefer photoshop or - if you prefer corel -  paint shop pro , for vector illustration - using tablets - I prefer illustrator or corel draw. I do use corel x4, but the x3 and x4 came with a couple of bugs, like the screen going blank for a while when I use the Scrolling touchpad on my laptop,  so sometimes I think I should have kept my corel 12 :/

I got one of these for Xmas, and am trying to upgrade the bundled software (Corel Painter & Adobe Photoshop) whilst the exchange rate against the U.S. Dollar is at its best in 28 years.  ;D  Its making an upgrade to Corel Painter 11 & Adobe Creative Suite 5 a very realistic option for me  8) 1900

Oh my God, i love these!

With that quote in the Sig, I'd be morphing the ferris wheel into a clock*. At least making a reinforcing reference to the passing of time. *Perhaps with a 3 O'Clock & 9 O'Clock mark. Still waiting for a copy of Adobe CS5 here though  :P

Rhiannon and Landslide are super to listen to.

Landslide is probably my favorite Stevie tune of all time. Given the rapore that VC
& Stevie share, is surprising that this thread didn't get more replies while VC was
playing support act... still one of the best live shows I've ever been to in Australia

The amazing thing is Adam's voice pairs as well will Vanessa's when the roles are reversed! To think they were able to record separate tracks for BYT without
having to be in the same studio is amazing... this just proves how good the choice of Vanessa for BYT's backing vocals was by the producers! For the record VC
has reached the #1 position on Australia's ARIA Charts just twice... firstly with ATM in 2002, and then with BYT for CC in 2003 (it show on wiki as just #3 :-? )

I've taken an order for a copy of Glass Doll on the strength of just a 1-track sample ('Never Too Much' I think it was). Hopefully more to follow on peeps!

Here it is peeps...

The feedback on this was very positive last night after work; Tofutti clearly has the
potential when combined with ingredients that are completely Lactose Free to offer
an admirable range of Cheese cake flavours to those who are Lactose intolerant  ;D

Completely Off-Topic / Chocolate :: Lactose Free

I've now made my first Tofutti-based Cheesecake... hopefully get to take a picture of it and post it here before it gets eaten LOL  :P Its not completely Lactose
Free though, because I did use butter in the biscuit base and chocolate (with cocoa butter in it), but I'm working on an alternative for the biscuit base. I've just
come across the Sweet William range of Chocolate online that is LF, GF, Vegan, Kosher & Halal... so that will help on the Vegan alternative I'm developing  ;D

Other Musicians / NEW electronic Keyboard :: Kawai X110
« on: February 06, 2010, 12:11:31 am »
Hi Shannon

I just thought I'd let you know I've finally been able to tee up an electonic keyboard here. I have a friend who no longer has the time to spend on their
Kawai X110, so they have agreed to loan it to me. Whilst its only a 61 key model, I figure it would be a great place to start out. Now that I have the Mac Mini, with iGarage soon to be added (as part of iLife), I have a computer set-up that can handle every bit of creative input I throw its way.

Please remind me again where I should be looking for sheet music of your songs, and if there is some other Mac-based software for electronic sheet music that you could refer me to.

"Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.

...Ouch, if everyone here has been as busy as I have for the last 3 months, then that might be some excuse. However, now that I have a Mac Mini & can start do get my work done smarted and a whole lot faster, I should have more time to enjoy Shannon's music and share feedback here. I gave signed copy as a Christmas gift, and have been enjoying my copy in the CD player of my new car for at least the last fortnight. Glass Doll ROCKS  :-*

Definately 'Old School; myself... I just went looking for BNN & Harmonium from my lil' stash in the walk-in wardrobe, and both cases were empty. I'm not saying they're missing (couretsey of my ex-flatemates) until I find them, but it will be hard to follow such an order with such inspiration :P
