I still drop by here from time to time! Unfortunately, most people are only on social media now, it's kind of a sad time.

But we'll always be Nessaholics! I won't give up on Vanessa and her wonderful music.

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / Re: Liberman Live album!

Was just listening to Liberman Live, and I just realized that there's no recording of Unlock the Lock... she must have played it at the show, right?

I went to 17 shows on this tour and she only played "Unlock The Lock" a few times. Bummer.

Hi everyone,

You probably know by now that Vanessa is gonna tour the US again in 2017! She'll be in NYC on March 10th for 2 shows on the same day at the City Winery.

See you there guys!  ;)

It's super, super lame. Especially since the iTunes track is an 'album exlusive', so you can't just download that one specifically to complete your album.

Well, it's a service I don't (and never will) use so digital wasn't an option for me. And unless you can get a real high-res lossless version, a CD will always sound much better. ATM should have been a hidden track on the CD!

I saw that Vanessa replied to your tweet about this, btw! Nice :)

Yup, that was nice of her to chime in!  :P

My copy arrived today!! And it's signed!

But yep, there's no ATM on it. I hate how labels aren't playing nice with people buying physical CDs. :(

Ugh, my copy still hasn't arrived yet!

Would anyone mind sharing the live version of ATM please? Apparently, it's not on the CD...  :(

Live Shows / Re: Belgium show 05/15/2016 @Botanique

Oh that's a bit sad. I travelled from Switzerland and picked Brussels over Paris because it was on a weekend and before a national holiday. If I hear the show in Paris was 2 hours long I'm gonna be devastated haha. But still... I got to see Vanessa perform live and that is amazing! :D

Paris was only 1 more song actually (ATM) and she didn't do "Tall Tales For Spring" (same for the last show in London, don't know why). But she did stay after the show to meet people.

The setlist was rather short. She did all of Liberman with the exception of Ascension (has she ever performed it??) and Carousel, Hear the Bells and The Marching Line (which was very emotional since she dedicated it to those who died or lost someone in the Paris and Brussels attack). I was surprised she didnt do an encore and sing ATM. This seemed to disappoint some people who probably know her only for that song. I didnt watch any live recordings from that tour so I was very pleased to see that she's touring with Skye Steel!

The Brussels show was a little different because it was a festival and they only had one hour. That's why she ended up removing ATM and Tall Tales For Spring (if I remember correctly). She also shortened some of her intro stories.

It's the only show where she didn't stick around to sign stuff because, again, it was a festival and things weren't set up the way they are at her "regular" shows on this tour. I got to talk to her tour manager (really nice guy btw!) before the show and he told me she wasn't probably gonna stay afterwards which ended up being true.

Sorry you didn't get to meet her!  :-\

I knew there was no chance of Twilight but I thought maybe Home (I've read that she's played it pretty recently).

She played "Home" in the US because I was the one who requested it (she did it in Philly and I don't remember where else). She's usually nice enough to play it when I request it but here in Europe, when I asked her if she could play it in Paris next week, she wasn't so sure. She said they didn't rehearse it. We'll see but I'm not getting my hopes up this time.

Nope, I was on the balcony. Which was still closer than you get in most gigs :)

Oh ok. I was right in front of her. Seriously, this venue in Manchester was so small and the stage was really low. I was probably 2 feet away from her. I loved it but at the same time, it felt somewhat weird being so close.

@MartUK, were you the tall guy I talked to and who was front row next to me? (I'm the French dude!
