Other Musicians / One Less than None
« on: June 13, 2004, 07:15:26 am »
Alright . . . So anyway, these are another one of my favourites. You know how I know? Because during their sound check, they performed "Great Romances of the 20th Century . . ." and they did it really well. The lead singer, Cesar, is incredibly hot as is their lead guitarist - Bryce. So . . . Yeah.

Please try to remember December and everything before then.
And I'd say I wanted you to leave, but it's so simple because I didn't.
Everything I don't want to think about,
When I think of you, I think about.
(You wasted so much time, and on and on.)
It all just pulls me down.
I'm still convinced, that after seven days, this will be over.
But it's coming on . . .
If I fall in the mood to write another song for you,
I know you'll hear it everytime before I sing it.
Fuck, I just broke my leg, trying to chase you down,
Because I know when you're out of sight,
All that means is you're out of reach.
And I don't want to lose you anymore.
Now, I'm convinced that after seven days, this will be over, soon.
But the feelings never end. And I still miss you.
Where do I begin, to say that this is so unfair?
Where do I start, to say that the feelings never end?
And I'm convinced, that after seven days, this will be over.

My new thing = unsigned or local bands.

Woop!

Check them out, kids. They're all hot (especially Wes - my favourite one, the drummer). They're from Loo Uh Vuhl. www.myfinesthour.net

Also, listen to their song "Ember -" SO kick-ass.

Will (guitar/vocals), Johnny (guitar/lead vocals), Matt (bass/vocals), Wes (drums)

Completely Off-Topic / Does anyone just laugh? O_o
« on: June 12, 2004, 05:18:36 am »
Right . . . I'm being serious. Yesterday, (and even today - I've only been up for an hour!) I started laughing at stupid stuff or for no reason at all. The reason I started this thread is because I JUST did and it's SO funny. Daniel/Eric's most recent post in the Famous Name thread? Started cracking up. I don't know what the deal is . . . So, I think it's some disorder I have when I'm not a around people for a really long amount of time, because this happens quite frequently. It's like, lack of contact with other people makes me go crazy and I'm just like O_o Wow, to compensate, I'll just laugh because THAT works.

Anyway, does anyone else get this way?

Completely Off-Topic / Happy Birthday Jessica!
« on: June 11, 2004, 10:06:50 pm »
*dances*

I don't think I've ever done a birthday thread, so BE HONOURED! :D Yes, so, since I know that your birthday eve (as well as everyone else's June 11) wasn't very . . . right . . . I want to wish a happy birthday to my Italian friend!

Soooooooooooooooooo . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

And you say it doesn't have anything to do with it.
And you say it doesn't have anything to do with it.
But if it's as irrelevent as you say it is,
Then why have you replied?
If it's as irrelevent as you say it is,
Then don't say anything at all.

Last night, I woke up to the sound of your voice,
Thinking to myself, "It's not your voice."
And I'll pretend that I'd had enough.
Yeah, I'll pretend that I'm over this.
But I dream about everything that I know's impossible.
I dream about all that we're not, so make me cry.
And let's switch, because it's the only way to figure this.
Just switch, yeah - And make me cry.

I can say these bells didn't ring and I forgot about Mass.
I can say my alarm clock died, and I spent the day in bed.
I can say our mirror broke, only bad luck lasts for a lifetime.
I can say I'm giving up, and we're all not as Celtic as we think.
Are you as Celtic as you think?
Are you as Celtic as you think?

Other Musicians / Led Zeppelin

You're kidding!

I was shocked when I didn't see a thread for them!

What can I say? Nothing.
Favourite Zeppelin song? Going to California, Over the Hills and Far Away
Favourite Album? Houses of the Holy

Robert is so hot! John Paul Jones is okay, but he's overlooked by the greatness of Jimmy Page (who couldn't he overshadow?). Bonham is . . . uhhh . . . a drummer without much appeal. :\

I just finished reading the book, but I suppose you an talk about the movie here, as well. ;)

It's so good and funny and realistic. Really. Probably one of my favourite books, yet. The language, and dialogue, and points of view, and metaphors or analogies that Kaysen uses are really . . . Good. But I really recommend this book. Really. :)

Love,
Cecilia

Polls / Do You Burn Easily?
« on: June 02, 2004, 01:53:24 pm »
Right. I never wear sun-block, and I don't know if I find it more offensive, funny, or retarded when I hear people say, "Atleast I won't get skin cancer," (when referring to my lack of sun block). But, I'll have you know, I do burn easily, and I normally don't think it hurts. I'm red for about a week (this is when I get "back to my Indian heritage" ;)), and then I'm tan.

My hands aren't tan - still German and white - and I'm really confused. I don't think I've worn gloves this Summer (yet ;)) so . . . O_o

But then I read my horoscope! :D (And this is where I go on and on (like an oil field) about horoscopes and things but I actually don't feel like doing that. And I would tell you a story about the Zodiac, because God knows I've a story for everything, but I don't feel like that. So in my attempt to NOT take up a lot of space with a lack of rambling typing, I guess I pretty much failed. Anyway . . .)

What was yours today? Was it true?

Other Musicians / Rookie of the Year
« on: May 15, 2004, 07:04:54 pm »
Awesome band. I saw them earlier tonight. They sound like Dashboard Confessional or Something Corporate, or other emo-rific bands these days. The lead singer who is SO my best friend plays acoustic guitar and has an awesomely amazingly good voice. Plus, he screams at points when he wants to stress something, which is good. The bassist is hot and is even HOTTER when he's playing and singing back-up. I swear to Bonjangles, I almost died when he was playing, and I don't know why. NO ONE ever does that. And he had a Yankees shirt on, and I, of course, had to tell him that I liked his shirt. Look into them. Very the-offspring-of Dashboard Confessional/Thursday/Taking Back Sunday.

I just needed someone to tell me how wrong this is. Then, maybe, I'll stop.
But please . . . Please, I don't know. Nevermind.
No, this isn't right, but there's no one to put me back into my place.
This is what is keeping me awake at night.
Did you know I'm not near you when it happens?

For miles and miles, I saw thoughts of you burning.
Call 911, because this isn't happening.
Call an ambulance before I see you strangled.
Lock the doors, another paramedic might just be someone,
Coming to take you away from me.

Lock the doors. Keep all of this burning.
This is just a jail cell that's lonely,
With flat lines as the faintest version I have of you.
White hospital sheets could never make us pure, again.
Lock the doors. See the flames from miles away,
Because I will be scattered with your ashes.
Cluelessly going somewhere when this hurricane comes.
Remember the scent of these fallen and burning trees,
Because I will be scattered with their ashes.
