Creative Endeavors / C'est Vous Pres de Mardi Gras
« on: February 06, 2005, 04:41:43 pm »
You say you don't mean it, but anything can change.
It's been only two years now and I'm stuck here,
Waiting for something different that reminds me of you.
And Fridays won't be the same for two weeks or until you drink again.
But Lent is on its way, and I thought March air would bring a new breath to inhale.
(Cigarette smoke's outlining your name and embarassing the clocks.)
So how can you reject someone who tells you they love you?
It's nothing that it seems, but you didn't mean it; it's still not the same.
Push back your hair, tell you he means it,
But nothing will kill that fact that we're both so insecure.
To sum it up, all I really want is for you to be happy.
And you can say what you want,
But I know you more than you know yourself.
Let him push your hair behind your ears and touch your face.
And stare at you for hours,
Because regardless if he's stoned, he'll still love you.
And so will I, but even ten hits won't let that be known.

Didn't you start highschool this year?

Yes . . . And your Xavier descendants are my buds, actually. There aren't as many from the east end this year, which surprised me. But that even more - there are a lot of south end and Okolona/Fern Creek boys at . . . TRINITY. Isn't that weird? I thought it was. What happened to Holy Cross, guys? Bleh . . . Anyway, yes I started high school. You told me you'd dated one of us a couple of times. What can I say? Even Mr. Andrew Man can't even resist a Pres girl. *shakes head*

1. First off, you're attracted because of their looks, so of course they've got to be semi-attractive (eyes, smile, hair - my favourite). Then personality - have to be funny, good sense of humor, they don't necessarily have to be nice.
2. Personality, eye colour, brains . . . then random knowledge (sports, music, etc.)
3. People who aren't very outspoken, I think. Um . . . I'd guess because my congeniality makes up for theirs :P But TYPE-wise, the jeans/tight t-shirt/coloured shoes people. Every once in a while there's a baseball player. Eh . . . People who smoke pot sums it up.
4. My personality. People think my eyes are scary. :(

Um . . .

I really don't drink that often, but when I do it's to have fun - get drunk, run up and down the street shirtless.

I do smoke though, and more often than I'd like. But who knows.

Polls / Have you ever had your heart broken?
« on: January 25, 2005, 02:34:36 pm »
Um . . .

I've never really had it broken (ie - "I'm not in love with you") but I have experienced the subtle potential heartbreak (not speaking, randomly getting mad, etc and the feelings - or lack of - from that). So if that counts, that sucks.

You're welcome.

Hard choice . . .

But face-to-face, I'd guess. Foreheads touching? Always the best. ;)

(I didn't mean to grow up and be this queer. There's just something about this being the only thing you can remember after a stoned and/or drunken night.)

I see no relevance between his gambling and his accomplishments as a player and coach.

It's not like he took steroids or intentionally lost games (cause then he wouldn't have been a great coach).

Not letting him in the HoF is an ego thing.

YOU ARE THE FUCKING MAN. I love my homedog, Andrew.

PS You still know that Pres girls are the best, right? (Winter Dance tomorrow night!)

Does it bother you when the only thing I focus on,
Is that everything you said you'd change,
You swear you'd never touch again?
It seems so hard to want to change while numb.
I think of you only when I realize that there's no hope for me to quit,
Because I have no self-control, but we're both so insecure.
But when you combine two negatives, all we are is sure,
That there is nothing that I could say to you for you to change.
Positive is nothing and I thought you "didn't notice."
Well something bothers me, when you say you don't care if I hurt you.
Yeah, you can breathe without me; in fact,
You've "had some trouble breathing" with me around you.
So hang my picture just to watch it burn.
I'd say I'm sorry again,
And I'd guess I'll never learn that your sad, green eyes can't control me.
But when the lights go out and there's no one there to you on,
Keep saying to yourself that you don't need my company -
You've "made it this far without . . ." me. Did I let you go?
Have you figured what the problem was with one more hit, one more time?
When your voice wears down and there's no one with you who turns you on,
Can you even remember if you've changed?
Because we're so far back and I'm mixing with your last three months.
But you've made it this far.
And every weekend without me since then has been a blur. But you let go.
So follow me home. Let me know if something's changed,
Because I needed you now that I was climbing out of this hole,
With L-O-V-E carved into it, that swallowed me.
And it left me for nothing but hopes that soon you'll visit me,
And we'll spend another night on my front porch.
I thought you said you loved him, but that was December.
Now the new year's here, and I'm finally climbing out,
Shattering every light that you turned on, convinced you're wearing off.

COFFEE!!!!!!!!!

First off, while skimming this thread, I thought that said "CECE!" And I was like, Wow, David, you rock my socks, too O_o. But then I realized it said coffee, so I'm going to have to agree.

Secondly, Camel Filters. (I know. I'm quitting, but until then . . .)

And last but not least - Christmas songs are the shiznat.

Peace out, yos . . . And I'll speak with you again in four more months. ;)
