I think I want to put my puppy in it and take a picture of him, too. hehe.

careful putting animals in. one time my dad put a load of whites in to the dryer and all of a sudden we heard this thudding sound. We opened it up and my all white cat had jumped in without us noticing  8O he was only in it for a few seconds so he wasn't hurt, but we felt like the biggest idiots in the world, haha.

Poor JJ!!!!

You know when he went mean?

I just mean, I couldn't see at all from the lawn seats so when I saw the pictures I could actually see what was happening on the stage.

You actually probably saw more than Jess or I did, even though we were at the foot of the stage.  the stage was very high up and the wall was the same height as Jessica, and when the crew set up for The Fray they were so spread out we could barely see anything until Hips Don't Lie when they had to be a foot away from us for us to get a descent look.  The speaker Ben stood up on at the end was right in front of us and blocked our view of the piano completely.  Jess did her thing though and shoved her camera in front of people and took pictures anyway.  That's why we heart her!

I feel as though because I am 4' 10", it is my right to push people more fortunate than I out of my way so that I can too can get photographic evidence of my life experiences. And if it happens to be snotty little brats that I push at a Fray concert, then so be it.

ps, his name isn't Ben it's Isaac :-P

Hmmmm I loved it :-P Thanks for sharing! I love the chemistry between Vanessa and Irv, I think they make a great pair, if not an interesting pair.

omg i'm going to have the BEST time tomorrow at the concert.
did they play Palm ReadeR?

They didn't play Palm Reader, unfortunately. They did play Crystal Baller and Motorcycle Driveby, so I was happy. All together they played for two hours and their set list was two pages long.

the boys were nothing short of AMAZING tonight! I saw them once last year, but tonight they were just soooooo good. My roomate and I arrived at 2 pm and were second in line - we were front row center and the crowd was absolutely insane! They played songs from all three albums and some new stuff as well (all their new songs are really good!) They said their album is almost finished and they wanted to go on tour to reconnect with their fans and let them know they haven't disappeared. I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone, but they do something really cool in their show that's very unexpected!

Towards the end Stephen stood on the speakers and leaned over to the crowd and shook people's hands. My arms weren't long enough but eventually I was able to touch the tip of one of his fingers, haha. He also smiled right at me and I turned to my roomate and went "omg he just smiled at me!" I turned back around and he went "what did you just say?" so I just yelled out "I love you!" and he started laughing - I just about died :-P I never thought I would turn in to such a 12 year old groupie, hahaha.

This little mini-tour they're doing is amazing and everyone should go if they have the chance to!

I'd sit here and say I'd miss all that for a V show... and quite honestly I would... except for the fact that I simply won't be able to live here if I spent the extra 200 dollars.  I have no job right now, my tutoring position ended.  Right now I have 40 dollars to my name... I'm suuuuch a poor college kid.  And on top of that I have to pay for summer classes in order to get my master's done on time.  I'm sure V will be playing somewhere in NY sometime in the near future, if she wasn't then I'd probably be an idiot and go to this show.  But it's a political event that I really don't care about and she's only playing 3 songs.  I'd rather see a full length show :D

Amen to that.

I think it's great that Vanessa is stepping up for her political beliefs - especially at a time like this when it's really important for people to take action ([/personalpoliticalplug]) - but for $100 3 songs is just not enough. Also, the fact that it's on a weekday, and a Monday no less, makes it even more difficult for people to be able to go. I've never understood why so many concerts are during the week - weekend shows are much more accessable to a wider audience. So when she's playing in upstate new york on a weekend for under $75, Gina and I will be there in the front singing our little hearts out :-)

[ I don't think he deserves so much public attention and I'm suprized on how much has been revealed publically

I so agree with this statement. A friend of mine goes to VT and said that students are constantly being barraged by reporters for interviews and stories, and most of the hotels are being taken up by reporters, so much so that families of victims and students can't find a room to stay in. It's as if no one has any sense of tact and respect for those who are grieving anymore. We're all supporting VT and want to know how they're doing, but the media really needs to back off. As for the amount of footage they're showing of him, that needs to stop as well - showing it to such an extent is, in my opinion, just glorifying him and making him in to a martyr, which is what he wanted.

[/rant]

with that said, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone at VT - right now, we're all Hokies.

may I ask where you found this concert, and how can I download it?

Well, I found on the Regina Spektor official forum and just go to shows and it says "SUNY Concert unedited" or something like that.  :)

Thanks :-)
