no I haven't, but despite the possibility... I think its crap.

Ah, well you need to see the video to get the whole joke.  It’s of Jewel walking around a city and there is trash and homeless people and then in the video it all gets glamorized, including her.  There are random ads for fake products.  She does model poses.  She even has back up dancers at one point.  At the bottom of the screen a scrolling marquee shows a TRL style comment by a fake fan saying something like, “Oooh I like Jewel so much better now that she dances."

What is up with those titles? It bugs me! And how she looked when she was on TRL was so not her.  I'm very disappointed.

Isn’t that the point, though?  I think her song, Intuition, is making fun of today’s pop music and the image that record companies try to force upon their artists.  Maybe the song titles and marketing campaign are supposed to be one big inside joke between Jewel and her fans.  Have you seen her video for Intuition?  I think that says it all.

And I do know a guy who has a phobia of oranges. poor guy... I'm glad he doesn't like in FL (especially with the FL license plates) or CA.

LOL!!!  Yes!  He is totally phobic of oranges and doesn't know why!  He should totally go into regression therapy and figure out what the deal is.  He told me once he hates getting stuck behind cars with the Florida plates!  Hah!  I think that phobia is so...outrageous.  *wink,wink*

Where are germs on this poll?  I hate germs.  I'm always washing my hands.  I hate those "rinsers" I encounter sometimes.  You know, people who come out of a bathroom stall and rinse their nasty germ-filled hands under the water - as if that would do anything! USE THE SOAP.  THAT'S WHY IT'S THERE.  Yeah, I'm talking about you, rinser!  And I don't like your cousin, the "walker-outer."  That's right!  The person who exits the damn stall and walks right out of the restroom.  Rrrrrrrr, making me have to open the restroom door with my sleeve to get out of there.

I once attended a great Marilyn Manson concert.  Of course I never expected to attend a concert by this group.  I had once promised my best friend that I would go to a MM concert with her if they ever came to town.  Naturally, they came to NYC and there I found myself up on the balcony looking down at throngs of loyal fans, pumping their fists in the air at all of the right spots during the music, and I kind of wished I knew when to pump my fist in the air too.  It was a lovely concert.  Marilyn Manson’s performance was full of a lot of energy and it reflected the energy of the concertgoers.  One of the things I enjoyed most about the concert was the stage props the group used for its songs.  The other highlight of the concert was getting to stare at a very delectable fellow sitting to the left of us.  If memory serves me correctly, he was wearing a spiked collar and stood motionless throughout the concert, with a drink in his hand.  He was quite yummy and I hope to see more of him at any future MM concerts that I attend.

You know that song that Something Corporate does about the drunk girl?  Yeah, that's me.  I'm so that drunk girl.

What's it called?  I kissed a drunk girl?  Someone help me out here.  A friend of mine sat me down one day and was like, "I'm going to play you a song about you."  I know it's nothing to be proud about.  It's just that it cracked me up for five minutes straight.

Speaking of Philip Glass, I love how the creators of Southpark animated him and stuck him in one of their episodes.  I know it was ages ago, but I still think of that secular holiday pageant when I think of Philip Glass.  :wink:

David, tell your roommate to relax.  It could be worse.  

Like, for example, when I get drunk, I have the tendency to introduce myself by another name, not recognize acquaintances, and take pictures of people's chest hair.    Oh, and I black out every time I drink.  Now that's a sign of problems, is it not?

Oh, and drinking after a 5PM class?  Tell your roommie that it's totally European of you to do that.  And, um, hasn't your roommate ever heard of happy hour?

I just saw Better Luck Tomorrow.  Good film.  They really need to make more movies with Asian roles.  I don't see enough Asians in film today.  Go support this movie!  The screenplay is great.

I like the commercial too!  My kitty cat is named Shakira.  She doesn't move her hips quite the same though.  But she can jump pretty high for an 8-month old.   :mrgreen:
