Wow. That's pretty awesome. I'd love to see pictures if you have them. I'm glad both Carlton's were impressed with your playing. It would kind of suck if the person who won couldn't really play that well. Where were you with her again? Was it at a studio?

I love timpani too, they're sexii. Especially in 1812 Overture.

That's a good one. But I think any song by John William has some pretty sweet timpani action... Theme from the Olympics, Star Wars, etc. He loves that instrument... as well as the french horn.

This girl probably has the most amazing voice I've ever heard. She grew up in St. Louis (my hometown! woo) and she gigs all over the same city. She's also been featured on The Early Show and the Today Show. Her new album Over and Over is soo good. It's very jazzy and Norah Jones esque. I love the first track, Holiday. Rent, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and 1776 are all in heavy rotation on my iPod right now.  Next shows I'm seeing are Jesus Christ Superstar, Mama Mia (the tour), Rent (the tour), and Spamalot (in London with Tim Curry!!).

Edit:  I'll be seeing Wicked with my sister in London!!!! and the best part is Idina is reprising Elphaba!!!!
