Hi!!
as you all know harmonium came out on the 5th and white houses has been playing like crazy on mtv and taiwan radio. Vanessa's probably going to be up in the taiwan wester charts top 10. Anyways, i went to the store to get her cd and there were loads of copies on the shelf. i was really happy. the cd is AWESOME!! PLUS the taiwanese edition has an extra booklet with extra pictures and chinese translations. really cool!! I am sorry to disappoint you guys but the enhanced portion of the cd is different from the limited jap dvd. there's no menu and scene selection and extras but the rest should be the same.

Hi guys

I'm so happy. Nessa's white houses has been playing on radio in Taiwan this past week. I've already heard it about 3 times on radio and i've seen it on MTV Taiwan as well!! It's amazing i was so happy. There's promotion going on for sure and guess what!!! the album comes out in taiwan Nov. 5. The chinese translation of the album's name is a pun in chinese that means "A different thought and idea" and "A different harmony". I like the chinese title a lot even though it's not that closely related to harmonium.
Anywyas, i'm rushing out to the stores on the 5th (that will be the 4th for you guys in the US) and i'll tell you all about it.

vanessa's vocals have improved tremendously!!! you get none of that growling and raw sound... it's so smooth and clean i'm surprised that she can hit such high notes now .. i'm loving "white houses" vanessa but i also love that rawness and fluctuations that vanessa had before.

omg!!!!

i went on the o site today wondering if there would be nessa's new single for preview on there since i don't have US radio  I'm from taiwan... and there it was!!!!! everybody you got to listen to this song!!! Vanessa's vocals are so amazing! she has improved so much and i love this song so much now!! I used to hate it when i watched that stupid TRL clip.. i even thought that it would be a flop but now i'm sure this song will be as big a hit as ATM... It's like ATM II but better!!!!!! ahhhhhh (screams like one of those teenboppers)

i love the video with all the dancing and stuff, but i hate the part of the song when vanessa goes "white houses".... it sounds so cutesy.... sounds like a children's song... i hope she has some moody stuff in harmonium. ATM was very pop but White Houses is so ... happy to the point that it sounds like one of those children's songs. I hope i'll like the song when i hear the full version.

yah i think so too... this is really depressing... everyone has come out with their sophomore albums except nessa! meech, norah jones, nelly furtado, alicia keys, etc! I was already depressed when she said she wouldn't be releasing anything in 2003, and now it's finally 2004! now i bet the 2004 is going close up without any nessa .... i guess it's 2005 or... worse, the label wouldn't even care to release something recorded so long ago and that means DROP! (that would be so depressing... then we can call her the ATM one hit wonder)

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! gonna kill nessa's record label, because i know it's not nessa's fault (she's finished the whole album already).. this is not fair!!! first it's march then july then september and now i have to wait until october for the album!!!! This is too long.... I can't stand the wait anymore. tomorrow i shall fly to CA and riot outside Interscope records until they can't help but to release harmonium early!!!!!  :evil:

you should add the word "calendar" to your topic subject. It's kind of misleading. i was thinking of some promo here when i read the title.... anyways, vanessa is one of the best selling western universal artists in taiwan.... she's been #1 on taiwan's g-music western charts for a few weeks when BNN was released. ... now it's summer time MTV and Channel V Taiwan (ask australians if you don't know this music channel) are playing ATM with new pink chinese subtitles... i don't know why... i guess it's to get people ready for harmonium....

yes... eil is selling the jap version of harmonium. it's confirmed that it will be coming out on sept. 16.

the single will be released to radio and tv anytime soon... however the jap commercial cd single will be released 15 days before the album in japan (it is quite common to do that in Japan)... I'm thinking that it will be a bit different in the US market.

i have a feeling that japan might have the earliest vanessa release in the world.... not fair.. why's it always japan. I would love to import it, but I guess every other country's cost of living is lower than japan's. Japanese cd prices are terribly high!! My jap friend buys imports for a cheaper price while it's the other way around for people outside of japan.... it's so sad.. ok i seem to be going off the point. anyways.. i'll buy the US album not the jap one for sure.
