Creative Endeavors / Just Give In

Somehow
This girls always doing
Things that she shouldn't
Putting herself where
Her feet just don't fit
She's running in circles
And the blaming the others
Trying to find
But she just can't commit

And all of the words she thinks
Are all of the things she means
But what good is thinking
Without ever speaking
Or gestures to show she knows it?

Someday
She promises herself
She'll give what she wants to
Giving, receiving
A big part of life
Not standing in silence
Exhausted resilence
Finding whats in her
To say she loves it

And all of the words she thinks
Are all of the things she means
But what good is thinking
Without ever speaking
Or gestures to show she knows it

And she'll give in someday
She'll give up someway
And tell what she thinks
Without the resistance
And just give in

( I'm open to opinions and thoughts from others. ;) )

The old one got full.
Its binding even broke when I dropped it on the floor.
The other one is hidden.
It's only used about 10 or 15 pages.

Notebooks just ain't good enough.
Scraps just aren't worthy.
My brain is full...
Its oozing out my ears.

I NEED A NEW JOURNAL!!

*bah ha ha--I'm so pitifully pathetic, but ya'll love me anyways*

General Vanessa Carlton Discussion / CD won't play on computer...
« on: November 24, 2004, 04:58:07 pm »
Anyone else having this problem? I just FINALLY got to use a computer (mine is currently down) to put the CD into (Melissa my sister told me about the uber cool movie/documentary thing on it)...

Well I put in the CD, pressed play, then a big red X popped up and it went back to the first picture, like when I first clicked PLAY....

Anyone know what I can do? Its the computer probably, right, and not a defective CD??

Ben proposed to me this afternoon at a park, Botanical Garden's, in a Gazebo. I'll have to take pics of my ring sometime... Not right now. I'm too tired right now. A little while after he proposed, we started walking back to the car, but we took the path through the garden, and as we were reaching the parking lot, a man who (I thought) was taking pictures of flowers caught back up with us and said that he had been taking pictures and got some of us strolling along in the background. He wanted to know our names. At first Ben and I were weary of him... then he said that he was with the local paper and was out taking shots of people enjoying the spring weather. He asked us again for our names, in case the photo is used. We gave him our names and then he goes, "Great, thanks," and started walking away. I didn't know if he realized it or not but before I let him leave, I told him Ben had just proposed, and that that must have been what he caught or close to it... So the man turned back around and goes, "Really? Congratulations! And you, obviously, accepted?" I told him yes, and kinda laughed. ("Noo, really?" hahah) So the man scribbled that down on his notepad and then let us go about on our way. He was nice. I hope, hope, hope that it is used because then I can save it or frame it and have a keepsake of the day Ben proposed! I'll definately have to show you guys if it's published. I don't know when it will be, if its going to be used tomorrow or whenever, if it even is. But boy, that would be great, wouldn't it!?

Anyways, after he proposed, we went back to his house and then at 6 we went out to eat at Mancy's Italian with his parents and some of our closest friends. I asked Melissa and Josh to go, but they'd already had plans  , so we'll have to do something with them sometime... We got a couple pictures taken at dinner, and his parents (secretly) got Ben and I dessert to share. Then we went to another park to take some pictures before it got too dark. (Poor Ben got stung by a bee.  ) When they're developed, I'll have to show you all!

Anyhow, I just wanted to share my great news with everyone here....

Creative Endeavors / I need people's help on this...

Okay, should I sing verse one or verse two first? I kinda like the story, but I dunno if I should tell it backwards or forwards, which makes it more eerie?? I want eerie.

VERSE 1:
Raindrops fall to the ground
A little child wakes from a sound
And the speeding car, it spins out of control
Life's so wrong, but its just how it goes...

And the cold wind blows
Hearts pound,
Fears all around.
And the silence grows
Everyone feels,
But nobody knows...
What its like to be alone.

VERSE 2:
Raindrops fall from the sky
Another mile and I'll be alright
But right I feel I need to go out and drive
Ignore the fact I know I had too much to drink tonight

And the cold wind blows
Hearts pound,
Fears all around.
And the silence grows
Everyone feels,
But nobody knows...
What its like to be alone.

-------

I'm still messing around with it, and HAVE been for the past weekend. It's coming out, slowly but surely. So... verse one or verse two first???
