"Vanessa Carlton's long awaited follow-up to 2004's Harmonium will be with us in October. Until then, we'll have to be content with her new single. If you liked "white houses" you won't be disappointed."

Platinum Pop Vocalist Vanessa Carlton Set To Release New Album 'Heroes and Thieves' On October 9, 2007

LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Inc. Records) - Singer/songwriter Vanessa Carlton's much anticipated third studio album, Heroes and Thieves, will be released on October 9th through Irving 'Gotti' Lorenzo's The Inc. Records, a division of Universal Motown Records.

The singer's entry into The Inc. fold demonstrates how Gotti and The Inc. continue to breakdown musical barriers. The album, written by Carlton in her New York City Nolita neighborhood and recorded in San Francisco, was produced by Third Eye Blind front man, Stephan Jenkins, Linda Perry (Pink, Christina Aguilera, Melissa Etheridge) and Carlton, and was executive produced by Gotti.

The first single off Heroes And Thieves, 'Nolita Fairytale' will impact radio on July 17th. 'Nolita Fairytale' sets the tone for the album with a unique evolved sound displaying Carlton's trademark soaring vocals and upbeat piano rhythms.

"I have been blessed with an incredible singer/songwriter who amazes me every time she sits down at her piano and plays and sings. Our Belief in each other is something that I will cherish! And I will fight to the end for my V.' Ganesh!
States Mr. Lorenzo, CEO of The Inc.

"The magical combination of Vanessa and Irv is forcing people to put their preconceived notions aside and think outside the box. Vanessa's new album is a breakthrough achievement on all sides; For Universal Motown, for The Inc. and their great team, and for music fans around the world hungering for the kind of light and passion that only Vanessa Carlton can bring."
States Sylvia Rhone, President of Universal Motown Records.

Vanessa Carlton burst on to the pop scene in 2002 with her album Be Not Nobody, unleashing the piano-tinged smash single 'A Thousand Miles,' which reached the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, garnering prestigious Grammy nominations for both Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year. Carlton followed up her platinum-plus debut album with 2004's acclaimed Harmonium. Carlton will head out on tour with the legendary Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac this summer.

Creative Endeavors / silk screening
« on: August 04, 2006, 11:09:11 pm »
anyone tried it?
i hadn't done it since art camp when i was 12 or so...
so i went to "the art store/blick" and purchased a starter kit...

i made a stencil... penciled it on the screen... painted in the stencil with drawing fluid...spread on the screen filler... waited and waited for it to dry... and added the ink and pressed... i made a 3 pack of hanes men's tanks into 3 'stephanie pressman' shirts.... not one is perfect....
well one is super close.... but thy are all pretty darn cool

i will show you pictures asap...

Creative Endeavors / Guitar Pick Necklaces...
« on: July 16, 2006, 02:58:08 am »
I got custom guitar picks made with one of my logos and my myspace address on them... then i drilled a hole and added a jump ring - put it on a necklace... voila!!! They are going to be for sale at my shows... how much should i sell them for? Getting the picks made was super expensive... about $1.00 a piece... so, I would rather make necklaces and earrings and sell them for a little more than I could sell just the plain picks... what do you guys think?

ps... they are so expensive because they have to make the screens for the first time you print them... everytime you reorder its a lot cheaper... anywho...
