Oh gosh, I didn't know she was on MTV Cribs.  I must've really missed it.  Does anyone have it online for Windows Media Player?

I really hope she does come back because I truly enjoy her music and I think the thing is the music industry.  Sometimes, they just don't know a good thing when it's there.  Hey, the song "Barons Of Suburbia" by Tori Amos is about this...seriously, it is.

Oh good.  We get InStyle where I work so I'll just rip out those pages!  She looks great and I love her place.  She should be on MTV Cribs.

Look, I wrote this for my brother, so I don't really give a fuck if it's structurally okay for the poetry critiquing world.  I think it's fine the way it is.  I don't need it to relate to anyone because it's for my brother.  I'm here to share my poetry with other Vanessa fans who, I agree, are much better than me most of the time or perhaps all of the time.  Yes, it could be better, if I was more talented in the writing department but I'm not so I make it what it is.  There are many songs in this world that are inside joke-like or songs that some people don't understand - look at Tori Amos and Bjork.  A lot of there songs people don't understand but still enjoy.  Check out the lyrics to the song "Toast" by Tori Amos.  She wrote that for her brother and there are tons of inside jokes and whatnots in there, but it's still a beautiful song and has touching intentions.

Well, I don't think a poem should be critiqued so harshly as if there is supposed to be a certain format.  I think the art of expression is really all that matters.  I am totally for critiquing when it comes to truly trying to help someone with their poetry without slamming it.  I think with that, people need to suggest things, not say that it's shit just because it doesn't follow certain English teacher rules.  It's supposed to be a depressing poem-I was depressed when I wrote it so I'm not gonna try to make anyone happy about this poem since it's clearly about being lonely.

Well, I'm not the best poet in the world and this is definitely not one of my best pieces.  I wrote this right after I found out my ex-best friend was in town and didn't contact me.  It affected me deeply and the poem was just raw, not revised or worked on...just flowed out of my fingers to the keyboard so I guess I didn't really think too hard on it, just tried to get some thoughts out.

The reason the Tori Amos quote is in there is because I felt that that line from the song, "China" fit so well with the poem and what I was writing about.  I think of my poems as songs sometimes because I wish I was a musician, but I'm not.  I think lines can still have impact though.

Tori has saved many lives.  Especially through her work with RAINN (Rape Abuse Incest National Network).
