I watched last week and I like it. Of course, it doesn't hurt that Carla Gugino is in it because I really dig on her. It's an interesting alien invasion and takeover plot and it also has a zombie feel too.

Completely Off-Topic / Fantasy Football league
« on: August 05, 2005, 05:08:57 pm »
I'm starting this thread to guage the interest here for a fantasy football league. I was thinking of making one for our members this year but didn't know how many people would join and play. If you'd be interested in joining tell me what the best time for you to draft or if you have a preference to yahoo or AOL. I just want to see how many teams we could fill if I started one.

I hate the guy but I noticed a lot of people here liked him and I was capturing the Ellen because Joss Stone was supposed to be on it but she wasn't and he was so I decided to edit it and upload it for the people here that like him. I got turned on to her by MandyJ421 here on the board and I bought her album Fearless and I really like it. I especially like her song Talk To Me which is reminiscint of ATM to me because it's very catchy and addictive. She sounds a lot like Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow put together to me. Here's her website: http://www.kerinoble.com/index.html

I like the show. It's kind of like Bridget Jones Diary with doctors. Anyone else here watching it?

Comprised exclusively of work by female artists, Charmed: The Book of Shadows: Soundtrack includes the song “Take It Off,” from the Donnas, “Take a Look,” from Liz Phair, Vanessa Carlton’s “San Francisco” – the setting for “Charmed” – Dido’s “Sand in My Shoes,” “Unbroken,” courtesy of Australia’s Missy Higgins, “I Close My Eyes,” from Shivaree, and “Home,” from Zero 7. Rounding out the set are cutting-edge remixes previously heard only in clubs, among them a retooling of Sarah McLachlan’s “Fallen” by Dan the Automator, Butterfly Boucher’s “I Can’t Make Me” by Chris Lord-Alge, Ashlee Simpson’s “Pieces of Me” by David Garcia and High Spies, and Sarah Brightman’s “Free” by the Swiss American Federation.

It's a new game show on Comedy Central where they do unusual things like make the contestants drink hot sauce or break bottles over their heads when they buzz in to answer. The show is hilarious.

I just watched it and it's kind of cool. It's moving to Friday now. I'll be watching it a couple more times to make sure I really like it before I commit to the rest of the season.

Other Musicians / What's your favorite Christmas CDs?
« on: December 24, 2004, 05:19:01 pm »
I just wanted to find out what everybody's favorite Christmas CDs are. I tend to like Christmas songs that don't deviate too much from the traditional ways of singing them so that affects my list.
Mine are Aaron Neville, All-4-One, and Kenny G. I don't have a lot of Christmas CDs so those are the favorites of the ones I have. I also really like Jewel's version of O Holy Night  but I don't have that album so I don't know if I like it.

Some guests found it hard to leave Dior’s Artist’s Ball at Manhattan’s Guggenheim – literally. Christina Ricci, Chloe Sevigny, and Vanessa Carlton all got their heels stuck in the grates on the floor of the art museum last Thursday, says a source. “Maybe next time, instead of suede clutches, Dior should put stilettos in the gift bags,” quips the source.  . .

This movie looks scary and I kinda want to see a scary movie for Christmas. The fact that Anna Paquin is in it doesn't hurt either.

This movie looks scary and cool. Dakota Fanning is a great little actress and with DeNiro it seems excellent to me.
