Polls / Olympics in 2012!
« on: August 30, 2004, 05:40:31 am »
While it sounds like it would be really awesome to have it in NY in theory, I think it would be total caos and insanity. Just the convention this week is making everything nuts. For the olympics they plan to build a bunch of new stadiums  and all this crap there is no room for here. There is hardly room for people here.  Thats why we pay 2000/month to live in a closet!
I think if NY wins I will be going on a nice two week vacation somewhere else.

I live pretty close to there now but I don't know what my schedule is going to be like in a few weeks now that school will have started. Wonder if there will be tickets the day of. Oh...does anyone know if Liz Phair is performing at this too. I knew she was doing some womens concert somewhere.

She's on the Chicks with Attitude tour as far as NY goes:
Wednesday, September 1st 7:00pm
Webster Hall (18+)
New York, NY
With Liz Phair, The Cardigans, Katy Rose and Charlotte Martin

Is that what you're talking about?

yes! That was what I was thinking about. Nevermind.
Yea september 1st is a bad day for a concert. I would looove to go to that one anyway tho. hmm

Yep yep...I think I mentioned that in a chat somewhere or something. I think the computer enhancement involved with that could have been just putting it into slow motion.

good call.

ahh yea..ok, I think I know which move you mean. And it does seem like its in slow motion at times.

nice dorm room holly. I love the colors. I've decided I want crimson to be the main color of my bedroom in my new apt but I'm sooooo bad w/ decorating. I need to hire an interior designer to fix it up for me lol.
So if I do that..then ill take pics lol.

I'd still like to hear what vanessa has to say about computer enhancement being used because it really doesn't look that artificial to me.  I've learned most of the dance including the leaps so if I can do them I would think an SAB trained dancer would certainly be able to as well. The hardest thing she does in the video are those yoga tree pose turns. If you're legs are strong enough for that chances are you can jump pretty high.

But eh, she could say it was enhanced  and ill just look oblivious so I'll stop rambling now.

not to mention we knew she danced and we've all seen that picture that's blown up of her doing that ballet move that i don't know what it's called ;)

i suspect this will come up a lot =)

The dance move in the pic  is called an arabesque.
