Anyone read it?

does anyone who read it really think it was the greatest generation??!?

I am soo stuck! its for Enlgish 2 H but I read the book it was good and all but I don't know its kinda weird and very repetative...

Personally, when I read it I thought it was a metaphor for urban violence in Beijing.
