I think it just shows where her mind was. A good comeback would have been, "Well if you want to go on a date we can do that, but right now I'm trying to interview you before you play your beautiful music for us."

The effect on her voice in the last one I posted is bloody awesome! It really emphasises her vocals - especially when she hits those high notes in the bridge!
