HOLDING ON
A cool breeze and fresh smell
Sounds of forming puddles
Pitter-Patter of rain drops against
The great outdoors
Wondering where you are
And knowing you think of me
Eyes shut and I can feel
Your arms around me
Surrounding me, embracing me
Holding tight
Breathing in and I smell you
Sweetness of a caring sensitivity
And listening to words that
Are spoken without speaking
Rain continues on until it stops
I remember your not here
And no longer does the warm embrace
And sweet scent surround me
Rather bitterness and sorrow
Keeps me company until
Forever finally passes on
