How do you feel about...?
« on: March 17, 2005, 02:29:01 pm »
Homosexually Orientated TV shows? I don't have a problem with it. I actually like watching it. Things like The L Word and Queer as Folk on Showtime. Sure they can be...er...explict at times but they have good story lines.

What do you guys think about it? Yay or Nay? I say Yay. lol

I think these types of shows have every right to be on television and its good to see shows like Neighbours and The OC introducing gay or bisexual characters into their shows.
Of course some would say that its just to up their ratings but its out there and it should be shown so narrow minded people have a greater understanding.

I havnt really watched The L Word or Queer as but I watch Will & Grace, Neighbours and The OC and love what they have done with their storylines.
I think the most 'real' one would have to be Neighbours because it showed the relationship between two best friends and the feelings they had towards eachother.
Plus the actress who played the lesbian did a really good job.
I also love how the OC started off but then they ruined it but at least Marissa and Alex had an actual relationship and not just some kiss and a pillow fight.

I suppose if its done tastefully then its a yay for me  :D

Yeah. You have to be SERIOUSLY mature to watch The L Word or Queer as Folk. I don't mean mature as in old, just mature as in "calm down. Control yourself." Things happen on there that...er...you might not see too often. If you're going to be ewwwing and yucking at every time a guy looks at another guy and a girl looks at another girl, those aren't the shows for you.

And face it...sometimes it's fun to look at same sex couples!?!?!?!

I'm not a specific watcher because I believe that it equalizes things when you are not drawn to one kind if race or orientation.  Anyways, I love Will & Grace and Sex And The City and All My Children and other shows that have gay/lesbian/bisexuals storylines and characters.
