Yah, which I will therefore miss, so I'll have to send an absentee ballot if I am registered at all.  I don't know, because everyone says you are supposed to get a confirmation letter in the mail... I sent out my registration form but never got any confirmation...

stuuuuupid election. What would happen if everyone wrote in their favorite cartoon character?

Sorry if that offends all the really political people, I'm pretty apathetic these days.

Does anyone know what time Vanessa's set starts?  The ticket says 6:30 pm....I'll never get there at that time!  Hopefully she doesn't go on until 8:30 or 9:00?

I'd like to know the answer to that as well. I think there's another event starting at 9pm after Vanessa's concert so she can't come on late. I just checked Joespub.com and it mentions something about Election Returns where people watch as the votes get counted. That starts at 9pm.

And another question: for those who've seen Vanessa already, for how long did her set last? Thanks in advance.

No, they probably wont know by the time the concert is over... since the polls close at 8 right?  And 8 in Cali is really 11 in nyc

news agencies often call the election before the polls close based on projections which some people believe has swung elections  (why would you bother going to vote when you see that your state has already been decided?)

yeah, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, since didn't last election they say that gore had won florida, when it then ended up being bush?

anyways, now i have to bring my dumb sister to this show, grrrr... my mom knew i had an extra ticket so shes forcing me to take my sis.  She went to the Oneonta concert with me and I don't think she was really amused with it, since everybody was all standing up and excited, and she and my mom were sitting down being like 'blah... this is loud...'

yeah well, last election was just a whole big mess.

florida was called for gore, then called for bush, then unknown while gore sued for a recount, then ultimately awarded to bush.

independent recounts have said that gore was the true winner, but it's hard to say.  the florida panhandle has historically been republican and that part of florida is 1 hour behind the rest of the state.  when the news agencies called the state for gore (incorrectly) polls were still open in the panhandle and people who may have voted for bush may not have voted at all because they didn't think their vote was going to count.

but whoever should have won, i don't like bush.  vote kerry so we can get him out.

anyway, this is getting off topic.  politics are boring.

everyone have fun at the show...  maybe if things are looking good for Kerry vanessa will do something special to celebrate...

Haha.

Right, yeah.  So I'll be there, maybe late though... just look for a weirdo in a VC hat (the one with the unicorn on it) ... I think I'll be wearing the red one, since I wore the blue to boston
