[discussion]Okay, her's mah story.
I got to the Levee around 12:35, she was supposed to be there from 12:30 to 2:30. She was spotted upstairs, but then we couldn't find her from the little stage set up by Kiss 107 until she came down to the stage. I couldn't believe I was standing there, in the same room with Vanessa Carlton. I've always wanted to meet her, and this ws going to be my chance!
Or so I thought. She talks to the guy, and says that her new single is coming out in January, and it's "between a song called Private Radio and another song on the album". I'm thinking, "Hopefully, that's 'Who's To Say'. They ask her about her love life. They ask if she has a boyfriend, compliment her rocking pink boots, and then send her over to the autograph place.
I was really excited. But she was just signing Harmonium posters and saying hi. I find out that there is a line, and that line just so happens to be
500 people long, almost all Jesse McCartney fans. I get in line, disappointed because I'm not going to meet Vanessa. KISS 107 plays "White Houses" and I am happy. The girls in front of me, all Jesse McCarntey fans  go "Oh my God, I love this song. It's 'White Houses'". I'm singing along, and they notice me and ask me if and when Jesse McCarntey's going to be there. I say "I don't care." and then walk away because there's no way in hell I'm going to get Vanessa's autogrpah, so I walk up to her little place where she's signing, lean over the thing holding people back and say "'Who's To Say' needs to be the next single."
She looks and me and grins, so I go out to find my mom who has the pictures that I *was* going to get signed. She goes "Joey, you aren't going to believe it!" Apparently, my mom got a chance to talk to Vanessa's assistant, and she is going to get the pictures that I printed out for me and my sister personalized! I'm so happy at this point. So she goes up and talks to the radio people a bit more and then goes down to sign the autographs some more.
While we're watching her talking, Tyler Hilton is suddenly standing right next to me. I say "Hi, Tyler!" and shake his hand. I SHOOK TYLER HILTON'S HAND. I then tell him that I like his new song and that I love anybody who write's their own songs. He was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He walks off and says "Nice meeting you, Joey!" He was really cool.
Then Vanessa says goodbye to the people on the radio station and walks out. Some guy holds the camera out and gets a picture of his head with Vanessa's head. I make my move. "Hi, Vanessa, I'm Joey, the guy you personalized these pictures for. I'm a NESSAholic. You know people like Katia, right?" She says yeah, and I tell her that I know her and stuff. My mom then asks if she will take a picture with me.
Okay, I'm going to share the picture. I promised myself that the first picture you would all see of my face would be of me and Vanessa, and I sure as hell didn't think it would be this soon. This is one of the worst pictures I've ever taken, of course, but it's a picture, and I put my arm around one of the hottest people alive.
Ready?
I don't think you are.
Ok, fine then.
I know, I'm ugly. Oh well. I then went out to Barnes and Nobles and bought the Tyler Hilton CD. Here's a picture of my Vanessa autograph and The Tracks of Tyler Hilton, which I am listening to now and is very good.
