Jenkins all the way!!!!

I just love the way he adds that extra something to the tracks and can really get funky and creativy with every kind of music.

Ron, because I think Stephen "over-produces".  That being said, I think Harmonium had more mature and complex songs to deal with.

I think no matter who produces, VC's songs still shine on their own. Whether it's because of or in spite of the producer, I am not sure..

yes yes!! So im gunna keep it real with ron    Because it seemed like he let Vanessa be Vanessa, you can tell in BNN and Stephen like got into it too much. Like you can kind of tell what he wrote--but thats just what I think

i think ron fair is good as an orchestrator and stephan is good as a lyricist.

so since they both worked in some way in harmonium- i think they did an awesome job alongside vanessa

Harmonium live is unspeakably much better than Harmonium Jenkinsified. I *wish* there would be a Harmonium Naked album like Let it Be Naked. Strip out all that guff drowning her voice and piano! VC is a voice and a piano. Everything else is superfluous. A really good producer can add to it (BNN) and a bad producer can seriously detract from it. I mean, I thought the songs on Harm simply weren't as good as those on BNN and the demo tapes. Then I heard the live recording at Nashville and found out they are just as good without all the stupid Skywalker ranch bolox. Minimalism rules! [/rant]

Bolox = 'bollocks' = English swear word.

Anyway, I recorded the Nashville show, and I'm glad it's made an impression. :D

Yeah I really have to thank you for that. When my iPod runs out of space I'll remove the official Jenkins version of Harmonium long before the live version.
