I don't want anything too radically different. She's one of my favorite artists for a reason. If she experiments with some different sounds a little, that's okay because that's all part of growing as an artist. But the reason I'm on these boards is because I love BNN and Harmonium.

Seriously, Vanessa is an artist, not a product.

And why does everyone correlate the word "success" to sales and profits instead of quality? We're talking about music here, not Wall Street.

Harmonium was good, so it was a success. Ashlee Simpson's 1st album sucked, so it was a failure--I don't care how many gullable teeny-boppers succumbed to marketing and bought the damn record and made radio requests.

Please please please could you try get a recording, if you are aloud that is? Third eye blind are my favourite band and i cant wait to hear some new stuff of theres plus i am so up for the next VC album i think i am going to blow... a couple of decent recordings would be great. Oh and will you have the chance to speak with VC and 3eb? If so ask SJ when 3eb are coming to UK and ask VC the same question. I have been waiting since december 1997. Think i am going to have to fly out to USA for 2 weeks and go see VC, 3eb and Dave Matthews Band live in concert, i think it the only chance of me seeing them?

I don't know if we'll be able to get recordings. If we visit the studio while they're in session I'm going to see if I can get some video, but that's it. I doubt I'll see Vanessa at all, I'll only be listening to the tracks and if that's so then I'm not going to record anything, there's copyright issues with that. So.
And Third Eye Blind is never going to go back to the UK. That's just how it is. Everyone knows it, even though it's sort of unspoken.

i'm pretty sure, following things vanessa has said about past record label experiences, that she is not going to let anyone mess with her music and make it something she doesn't want it to be. so everyone chill and just be happy she's making a new cd :-P
