I think this would have done better released at a different time.... Harm was great for the winter... AMAZING... and BNN was good for the spring... this is kinda late spring early summer album (HAT) IDK

maybe the release time means a lot to me idk
Peace

H&T does have some of Vanessa's best work though ("Fools Like Me," "Home," "More Than This")

...actually, the entire album is memorable. It's actually becoming one of my top favorites!! Haha... I think it's one of those albums I wanna be stuck on an island with.

Harmonium will be more liked by the hardcore fans, and HAT will be better received by the general public, in my opinion.

After listening to HAT for a few days I can say that it is one of my top-five favorite albums of all time, but Harmonium is my #1.

HAT is better than BNN by almost any measure.

Martin.

It'd be good if 'Heroes & Thieves' was a commercial success and the new fans checked out her old stuff, particularly 'Harmonium, because it's incredible!

I'm rooting for her to come back on top again!

I still like the other two better. I mean, it's still a great album, and some of the songs in it are my favourites now, but it's not like on Harmonium that you can play the whole album and like every song in it. After listening to the live versions of "Fools Like Me" I just can't listen to the album version, I got very disapointed with it...

I'm a huge Be not Nobody fan. I don't think anything will ever compare to her first album. It will always be my favorite with songs like Sway, Rinse, Twilight, Paradise...all of them really. Hands down, no contest, the best.

It is great.  Great enough to get me to come back here and make a post, violating my once every two/one year post on nessaholics vow.  lol.  I am always going to have faves on each album, but there really is a lot of good stuff on this one.

I find that I can't compare the two albums.  Harmonium seems more like a whole body of work...I find the songs fit together perfectly and seem to belong together.  H&T on the other hand kind of feels like a bunch of amazing songs thrown together, but they don't seem very cohesive.

I still LOVEEEEEE H&T though.

:)
At least I can say I was not afraid, I loved you all the way, and i'd pick the fool any day.

Woah, that's like the opposite of what I feel! :)

To me Harmonium was the pure form of best artistry that Vanessa can do, not so cohesive but it was "organized chaos". It still is the best album that she has made in my opinion. But you can't really compare H&T with Harmonium, they're in different levels of writing, commercialism and production. Harmonium was raw and edgy, H&T is the commercial side and more relatable... so, I say that there's no comparison because it can't be compared.  :D

I think Heroes and Thieves is the best. Harmonium is in second and BNN is third. So I guess she has been improving each album!

Well for me, BNN is raw, Harmonium is developing and H&T is well developed. :)
