well, keep in mind guys that this isn't a new song from the album. it's just a cover of another song.

My two cents tho:

Aesthetically, the production of the song was very much ROTR. Listen to Get Good and you will hear what I mean.

I don't get the country reference that some of us hear in it, tho. It's not much of a country for me. It's a ballad, yes, but more of folksy-ambient ballad. Country? Not so much.

that's not what I was doing. you can dislike anything you want. but there are been references to her new sound based on this song which is not hers, nor will it be on the album.

Video is here guys!

I don't get it.  Love her voice, song's okay, I guess I'm not intellectual or artistic enough to understand the interpretive dance. contrast between a sweet, smooth song and spasmodic, non-fluent dancing?

I found the contrast to be very weird at first. However, at the end of video, as the last lyrics echoed, I think I had an inkling of the reason behind the jaggedness of the movements - it's supposed to counter the peaceful song, alluding to the other half of waiting: the restlessness, the impatience, the wild desire to reach out and follow instead of just simply waiting.

I dunno. It's my take on it. I like how minimalist it is. Something definitely new and high art.

I really like the video. I think the intensity in the dance is a beautiful contrast to the song. I wonder if it's its done in one take?

This is a brilliant theory. Explains why he pounds his prayers on his chest.

I also like how we wait, and wait, and wait for Vanessa to appear.
