Does anyone know if this is a virus or how to cure it?

My computer has been acting sooo funky since yesterday..It suddenly descided that after so long it will just restart itself, even without me doing anything except moving the mouse.

I'll be able to log on to AOL then pull up AIM, and then it will seem to freeze, because I'll try to move the mouse, and then it will restart...And after about 5 times of going through and doing that, and having it restart, it will work for an hour or two and then do what it had been doing...

Anyone know what the deal is?

lol, I think it is...

try downloading Avast from this page
http://download.com.com/3120-20-0.html?qt=avast&tg=dl-2001
and run a scan
it might work

Oh I'll let you know...

I'm gonna pass it along to gina too, she has a virus on one of her computers where if someone on AIM says 'fuck' it knocks her off of AIM and she has to sign back on.

It's got 26 minutes left to download...I hope my computer stays on that long to download it...haha!

Yeah AOL phoneline... :cry:

Plus I got alot of junk I need to delete off of my computer...

Including a 30MB "From The Inside" video that hasn't been released in the US yet..so hardly anyone has it...haha

By the way...Go buy the new LP DVD that comes out in your area tomorrow I believe "Linkin Park: Live In Texas"

I downloaded it...

And.....

It scanned it....

And....


It hardly seems different...although it hasn't kicked me off so much...but it tends to freeze more  :cry:

I bought a new LP poster tonight though...too bad I can't hang it up  :cry:

Hmmm...Seems to be working normal now, although I should not have said that, now it will screw up!

  That was most assuridly a virus and a nasty one at that.  There was a known issue with windows where a worm could get on the PC and basically be able to restart your PC at will.  Get a virus scanner asap.....

:wink:  I scanned everything and it didn't find any viruses  8O  Although it seems to be working fine, which is weird!!
