Hair tips and secrets.....

yeah actually... i have quite a few.

1. don't wash your hair every day... a LITTLE oilyness makes it more managable. wash every 2 days or so.
2. EGGS make your hair shinier... rub one in after shampooing
3. 1 part honey mixed with 3 parts lukewarm water poured over your head after shampooing also shines... and is less gross.
4. if you straighten or iron or curl or use any other damaging heat source on your hair, make sure you deep condition at least once a week to avoid split ends... and always get a trim every eight weeks
5. if you're a brunette or a redhead, you can bring out natural highlights with coffee. just pour 8 cups of warm coffee (without milk or sugar lol) over wet hair, leave your hair like that for 5 minutes, and rinse with cool water. you'll smell like a frappucino for awhile but it really works!

Things are going crazy and I'm not sure who to blame...

Wow those are great tips!!!

Ok here are a few I use:

* Always leave conditioner at the tips of your hair
* Try not to over the straightners-however tempting (if you do deep condition every week, wrapping hair in a towel when doing this makes it work better, oh and always use a protection spray if you use curlers or straightners)
* When getting a conditioner always look out for things like camomile extract, shea butter, coconot oil, and provitamin B5 works wonders on hair!
*Always get a shampoo and conditioner that suits your hairtype or it won't do anything
* Always use a cold rinse of hair, because it adds extra shine!
* Using a really hot setting on a hair dryer makes hair greasy (apparently)
* Exercise speeds up the growing rate of hair!
* Get hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks! (spilt ends are only got rid off this way-unfortunately :()
* Apparently when we sleep, we're prone to breaking hair!  :? Satin is better apparently because hair glides accross more easier!
* Ok one really strange thing my hairdresser told me! If u don't wash your hair for 4 to 6 weeks then it returns to how it was before that!! I can't say I'd be trying that though!!!

I have alot of hair tips and home made recipes, so I might post those later, but I am a lil tired now!

Thank so much for the sig Scotty!! <3 It's gorgeous!

haha, this really scares me because I was talking to a german exchange girl in my english class the other day and she said "I love your hair, I want it!" and because she has straight hair and I've ALWAYS wanted straight hair I said "I want yours!" and she said "Really? I haven't washed it or brushed it for 2 months now" I was like...okkkay...  :?

Don't worry about fixing your hair five days out of the week, you're just going to school.

That's the only one I've got :\

I know, I know, I'm great at this. I've never been a hair person.

*shrug* makes sense to me... i just brush it or scrunch it with gel to go to school... and it looks like crap by lunchtime anyway.

I never put gel in my hair. :\ There's no real reason why I've not, I just don't.  When I finish blow-drying my hair, and I put it up really SLOPPILY! by the end of the day it's all falling out of the hair tie and I've got to keep pulling it back and it PISSES ME OFF. Which is why you should really pay more attention to your hair! But I don't :\ So

My tip to everyone....

If you have curly hair and want it to be straight blow dry it very well. Once you get it like really almost straight with the blow dryer then go over it with your hair iron...or clothing iron :P...Don't put anything in it because it just makes it really greezy and it doesn't look as natural. Just leave it as is and it should be perfect!

8O Clothing Iron?! I knew someone who did that on her iron and it just completely frazzled up! That was the day before ceramic straightners!

My best tip:If it's silky hair you are after get yourself some GHD straightners!!!! they're about £100 here, not sure how much in dollars, but they are a complete god sent! They have a conditioning element in them so unlike others don't damage it. And also Jennifer Aniston users them, so need I say more?  :)
