I'm sorry but WMA is just Micro$oft plain cr*p!!!!
Nothing better than a good mp3 well encoded.
well, mp3 is going to become mp4 so you won't find it in windows because you have to get the lincensing for it or something, which you would have to pay for. WMA will become more popular because it's freeeeee.
Amanda
MPEG 1, layer 3 (audio encoding, e.g. mp3) has been a standard since 1992. It certainly isn't going anywhere. If you are talking about the new MPEG 4 standard, you will not find it in Windows except through Quicktime. Microsoft has created it's own incompatable implementation of the MPEG 4 standard to use in WMA. MPEG 4 (mp4) audio encoding (aac) is already available for free on Windows in the form of Apple's iTunes.
Besides, none of these formats are free. They are covered by patents that have to be licenced in order to create implementations. If you want a truly free audio codec, try Ogg Vorbis, a codec which is unencumbered by patents and has source code freely available under the LGPL.
Anyway, I can host your song. I just don't see you on AIM.
