I don't know why anyone is surprised at the way this whole thing came about. We have never been in the loop about anything that goes on with V and her career. Part of the reason why her second album bombed. No promotion.
I think that whoever ran that unofficial, now official (not that I can't make one and say it's
official) Myspace was asked to turn it over/or help her new label or a promo dept. of sorts. An announcement may come one day saying it's official, just like it said the missvanessacarlton was the official... Who knows? She probably doesn't even know about this contest or that she is even performing so of course we can't blame her.
I would say that the 2005 thing was a typo (obviously) and her new people are stupid. Cause if they were smart they would take/ask for our help here at Nh.com in promotion etc. Or at least get someone to post here with info.

Very humorous to see her name with Lil Wayne and Baby. Reminds me of back in the day going to those radio shows where she was with the likes of Ja Rule and Ashanti.
And yes it does suck that people who aren't true fans will probably win but I am glad that you got in BWilli.
