Lyrics or Piano first?

I've always wondered if Vanessa writes the lyrics or the music first or writes them at the same time?  Anyone know if Vanessa has ever answered this question in an interview?  Forgive me if this has been addressed before.

Thanks I always wondered, particularly since how the lyrics and music mesh are pretty unique (Rhythms are very different for vocal part vs piano part..a friend of mine brought that to my attention after listening to "White Houses").
