Wow - I don't know where to begin!

First off my seats were literally 2 feet away from her because I made a reservation and requested to be seated as close to the stage as possible. Vanessa even shook my hand on her way off the stage.

Her outfit : Jeans and a blue tank top with pink Doc Martins. She said, "She normally wears this poofy white dress but she has to wear her black Doc Martins with because the pink ones make her look like a clown." She forgot her black Docs. "It is good that I can now dry clean my dress."

They guy let me come on stage after the show and pick up the setlist so I will say the songs in order with a little description and what she said they were about.

Papa This was the opener, she kept having trouble with the mic and piano volume but that was fixed after the first 3 songs. She sounded fantastic from the beginning to the end of the show.

San Fransisco She said she wrote it in San Fransisco.

Ordinary Day She played the "Divide and Conquer" version. Yay!

Who's To Say If I recall correctly she said that she hates when she writes a song for someone and then plays it for them but they have no clue it's about them.

Swindler Didn't play it.

White Houses She said how MTV censors it while there are "lovely bootys" on MTV. Said this whole thing about censorship and whatnot.

Afterglow Very calm and mellow. Lights turned dark.

Morning Sting She said how that she strictly wanted a 10 song record and how this song was number 11, and that it wasn't crappy. One of my favourites of the night.

C'lest La Vie She said that this was one of the angry tracks on the new album.

Wanted She said that this was about her neighbor who she liked but he didn't even notice her until she played him her songs and then he fell deeply inlove with her. Once again, she said how she hates when people don't notice her song is about them. He turned out to be a gay soap star like she stated at previous shows. One of my favourites of the night.

She Floats She said it was about a girl who is in her tour bus bathroom. One of my favourites of the night.

Rinse She said it was about how girls like to stalk boys. "I'm not a stalker though, my friend is and she chased after this boy. Now her recent boyfriend dumped her. She'd hate if she knew I said that but her mom is in the crowd!" Something along those lines. Another favourite of the night.

ANNIE!!! Wow - amazing!!! She said how she met this girl, Victoria, on tour who was dying with luekemia but is not better. It helped her get throught her kemo. She met her backstage and Victoria held her so tightly and whispered lyrics into Vanessa's ear. Even though she is not there sometimes, Vanessa still feels her. She asked Victoria if it'd be alright to change her name to Annie in the song and she didn't mind, she was just happy that there is a song about her.

Winter She said it was about vampires and sharks (her favourite things). It would be boring to hear about sharks so she changed it to vampires eating unicorns. She thinks vampires are sexy and wants to know what it feels like right before they bite you. Someday she will write a song about great sharks and we will love it!

The Wreckage How she is a wreckless driver and how she gets bored when driving. She wants to start car accidents even though she knows that there are people in the cars. Other angry song on the album.

1000 Miles She said that she will have to play it for the rest of her freakin' life and it needs no introduction.

She said that this is normally the point where she does the encore but she doesn't want to go backstage and come back out "not knowing" that we want her out again.

Twilight Just fantastic to end the show with. WOW!!

I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Nessa's mommy was there so she left right after the show so I didn't get to stand out and meet her.

The women sitting next to me said I looked like Vanessa, not too shabby ;). That was a great way to start the evening. There was no merchandise available at the show :(

Sorry this is soo g-d damn long!

Awesome.

Yeah you never know when "Annie" will show up. I have been lucky (I shouldn't say this outloud, or in print) that she has done both so far when I have been there. I am still praying for "Pretty Baby" in SF but I know it won't happen.
