Won't bore you with the particulars.........

I was at an audition for a band, and afterwards, as I was breaking down my drumset, I was introduced to a guy named Pete, who was a friend of one of the band members. I shook hands, and then I went back to taking my cymbals down, etc., so I had my back to them.

He says "You heard of Vanessa Carlton?", and instantly my ears perked up. "Her Dad, Ed, is our new manager!". I then mentioned something about how I'm one of the biggest VC fans in North America, or something lame like that, 'cause that was the last name I expected to hear!

According to this guy, Ed is doing well managing acts.....how cool is that? Small world!

Surprising. Last I heard (which was a long time ago), he was a pilot.

Just relaying something that was said to me. I don't know this first-hand. This guy seemed to be familiar with the people at The Bitter End, and didn't come off like your typical BS artist. What's more, many managers I have known keep a day job.
