Vanessa Carlton is in the midst of mastering her new album. Due sometime this year, the as-yet-untitled set was produced by Linda Perry, Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins and a number of "departure producers," according to a spokesperson. Some tracks that Carlton co-wrote with Perry will be appearing on the album as well.The artist worked with both Jenkins (whom she is dating) and Perry on her 2004 A&M album, "Harmonium," which peaked at No. 33 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 179,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.Carlton is in the midst of a tour of Australia and New Zealand with Stevie Nicks, which runs through March 7 in Christchurch.-- Katie Hasty, N.Y
