« on: September 21, 2006, 02:16:03 pm »
Hey Everyone! I just got a new camcorder and i wanted to make video recordings of  myselv playing songs by V. I have been recording them on DVD -RW disks that fit into the camcorder. Now ive tried everything and i just cant figure out how to get them onto the comp in mpg format, so i can post them on you tube. I dont even know how to get them on the comp at all! If someone could please help me, please post!
:D Thanks!

Is there anything in the instructions that came with your camera?  There are a number of things you could do.  Do your camera and computer have an i.Link, IEEE 1394, or FireWire connection?  If not, you can always try a DVD ripping program that can convert DVDs to MPEGs.

Myself, I use a video camera that uses MiniDV cassettes and stream it into my computer using a IEEE 1394 connection.
