Is that an engagement ring on her right 4th finger? :?:  :?:  :?:

You know, as crazy as it may sound, girls tend to wear different types of rings on different fingers.
I swear it's true, I've seen it myself!! ;)

why would you wear an engagement ring on your right hand?

was going to ask the same question....?

Women [and sometimes men] wear their engagement rings on their right ring fingers sometimes; I know I will, so it's not unusual at all. Sometimes the women [even celebs] just wear their wedding ring and the men don't wear one at all. For some odd reason, I don't like wearing two rings on one finger. It's all a matter of preference.

I thought that you wear it on the right until you're actually married and then you switch it over when you are....

I didn't know you could do that... well if VC plans on getting married, then I'm happy for her.

this is how i have always understood the process.  When you are proposed to and you accept you wear the ring on your right ring finger, then after you're married you wear it on the left.

the other alternative that i have seen is wearing it on the left finger then an additional band is added during the marriage ceremony.

Gah, more rules.  Next thing you know women will be wearing their wedding ring on a different finger depending on what day of the week it is, and to be proper single guys will have to keep track of the days of the week -- or not ;);which is why all the different conventions probably exist and will contribute to an increasing number of divorces every year. ;)
