ok can anyone PLEASE explain to me the present and past tense of ne rien, ne personne, quelq'un , and quelque chose. We are doing past tense of irregular verbs in class, thats stuff I get but I don't get that above mentioned stuff. We had a sub all week b/c teacher was out sick and I soo don't get it. Help?
well....let me try to explain....hopefully u will understand... :? :? :? :?
NE RIEN is negative...so if u have PAST TENSE u add "l'auxiliare"(passe compose, i guess that's what ure learning right??)
for RIEN....AVOIR is added....so it would be "n'a rien" (replace the E with a
' because of the two vowels E and A)
so it would be (i will do all the examples using the pronoun ELLE, but ofcourse the 'terminaison' of the verb (a) would change when using other prounouns) :
Elle n'a rien dis.
=
She said nothing.
exaplain the other words to me, like what do u mean by them(in a sentence...and then i can finish explaining:razz:)...because i have never heard them used as VERBS...only as DIRECT OBJECTS or some noun form...
u have to add a verb to it ofcourse for the sentence to make sense
example:
Elle n'a vu personne=She saw nobody ('personne' is the Direct Object=COD(complement objet directe)
quelqu'un and quelque chose are used as DO too i guess...
again, i need some examples from ur book or notebook to understand and explain more...
quelqu'un means someone
and quelque chose means something....
so...yeah...hoped that helped some...
