^I used to be the biggest Mariah fan (back around '96) because I feel she is by far the most talented female vocalist.  It's insane.  But I am no longer a fan because she's gone all hip-hop cliche & doesn't really SING anymore - & I hate all the music she's put out over the last several years.  She's just trying to sound like everyone else & wasting her skills.  Personally, I was blown away by all the high notes.  I miss them.   :(

^^^Yea! why can't she come out with more songs like "dreamlover" or "emotions?"... were those pre '96? hmmm... all I know is I love her #1s album. after that, I just really don't care either way.  But I do hope she returns to a more mature sound.

well i don't mind christina's new album although some of the songs and the lyrics are a bit........well there not the best....

Also on a different topic, what's with Jessica Simpson's music? Her first album was really good, like her voice was really controlled and all the songs were strong pop songs, and now it's just like........yeh it was.........fine.... :?

I love Christina Aguilera's voice. I could listen to it forever and never get bored of it. She does oversing a lot, but I especially like her more gentle voice, which can be heard on her song 'Save Me From Myself" on her new album- no "yelling", no continuous trills, as Dan put it. She's flat out singing the whole time, almost whispering, and it's gorgeous.

I like a few of Britney's songs but that has more to do with the fact that she had the best producers in the business dolling her songs up, not that she is talented or can sing. She can dance, and she is cute (or was), but other than that she's got nothing.

Let me start with a side note: Britney has pretty eyes.

But that aside, I still have to vote for Christina.  And though I'll never be a fan (though I did really love her in the early days), I love to hear her sing, and her new album (or at least the parts of it that have played on the radio) sounds better than anything I've heard from her since probably 2001.

Christina has a much better voice and sure she does not have all the dance moves but I think she gets in the lyrics and voice and just everything a bit deeper than Britney.

I like her album " back to basics " . I've never been a fan of Britney altough i like some of her songs! And i think Christina has a beautiful voice

I read somewhere that Britney had a new sound, and that it was so good that it would give her a huge comeback, they said that it would be for her what "Futuresex/lovesounds" was for Justin Timberlake; but now that I've heard the new single it's the same dance stuff that she has everyone used to, I don't think she will have her "big comeback" with this single.
