I do it small sections at a time until I've got it down.
For the boring part, I'd try a little word association. Associate those boring words with increasingly more interesting words until they remind you of something you like.
Sounds kind of dumb, but you asked for tips, so, there you go!
Good luck.
That's what she said.

I'm an actor [well i've TONS if musicals with a lot of lines] and i sit and read the lines out loud and take it like 5 at a time and i usually get it pretty fast. maybe you should act it out or sing it or something.

Try putting yourself in the character's position and make their situation your own. Maybe you'll feel what they're feeling and the lines will stick more easily.  :D

i was in Drama all throughout high school & i think i just kept saying the lines over and over again till i had them memorized. Or I would try to memorize the first line until i had it memorized, then move onto the 2nd line & try to repeat the first 2 lines, then move onto the 3rd, repeat the 3 lines, etc. does that make sense? lol.

Dunno how i managed to get almost all A's in drama cuz my teacher was intense, and tended to make the students in my class including me stressed as hell, but it was fun despite that part haha. i kinda miss those days.

I had to memorize a ton of things in school. I used to memorize one line then the next then recite them together, memorize a new line then recite all three, remember the 4th line then recite all 4 ect.ect. It takes some time, but I always found that it worked.
And if you don't believe me just put your hands on me

My friend told me that she used to recite her lines on tape and listen to it while sleeping, and during the day when she was reading (or following along studying), she said it really helped. Give it a try, and good luck!
