She's a little bit piano driven so you guys might like her. She's like Mariah mixed in with Alicia Keys. You might not be able to compare her to Mariah just from hearing her debut single Bleeding Love, but watch the videos to the left (scroll down a little) on her official myspace from xfactor & you might be able to. Especially Summertime.

If you don't know who she is, she was the winner of simon cowell's the x-factor earlier this year..or maybe last year? I forget, you British people should be able to tell me lol. It's basically the British version of American Idol except anyone can try out..can be in groups, and age doesn't matter. She has a single out called "bleeding love" & its absolutely amazing, and really refreshing. Check it out:

^you should listen to the rest, it's totally worth downloading/buying. It's so good.

And omg I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Take A Bow. You guys need to listen to that song first. Thats one of the best songs i've ever heard.

Also you'll definitely hear some Mariah in her song Yesterday.

Man I haven't been this excited about an artist in a long time.

I was disappointed with her album. It's boring.

A few songs are kinda boring, but I don't think the whole thing is. You don't even like Bleeding Love, Take A Bow or Whatever It Takes? Those are all upbeat. There are more upbeat ones too.

I'm too crazy about Take a Bow. Angel is another stand out track.

There's a few I like (those ones you mentioned and another I think), but when I listen to it from start to finish, it's kinda bleh.

I like her and she has a nice voice. Maybe it'll grow on me.

When is she releasing her stuff in the US? How do you think she'll do?

Yeah hopefully it'll grow on you, I just deleted the songs I didn't like. I'm not sure when she's releasing it here. Simon Cowell is like in love with her  lol so hopefully it'll be soon.

btw is footprints in the sand a cover? i could've sworn i saw her perform it on xfactor when she was on it through youtube or something.

No I don't think it is a cover, it was premiered on X-Factor (she didn't sing it live, but it played as in background music for a few), so that was probably where you heard it.
