Um. Vanessa wasn't nominated because in order to be eligible you had to release an album between Oct. 1, 2006 and Sept. 30, 2007. Grammy years take place between October and then the following September.

And since H&T was released in October, it'll only be elligible for the 2008 Grammys.

So there might be some nominations for then if the album does well over the course of next year.

So, yeah calm down. lol

I was not expecting a nomination for her this time around. I hate the Grammys! The only way I will watch it is when she gets a nom!

The Oscars and Grammy's are pretty fucked really. It's a bunch of rich people getting together and celebrating themselves in reality.

Because everyone knows the exact grammy requirement dates.

She did submitted NF in the category Pop Vocal Female.
I love NF and I would have the happiest day in my life if NF got nominated in that category, but truth is, the song isn't qualyfied enough. I'd love to see ATM, OD and WH got nominated, but NF.., no way. Still, I don't know why they didn't submitted the song in "Song of the year" and "record of the year". It would have higher hopes in these categories.

I still couldn't believe some of the nominations Norah Jones, U2, Dixie chicks, Sheryl Crow... got, I know they are legend, but some are just not fair

The Grammys have been a bad joke for years now. That, along with the biz itself tanking, makes it even more ridiculous. Generally, the big sellers get the most accolades, and the same ones over and over. It makes sense in that big sales drive the industry. They don't have the integrity or the balls to nominate someone unknown that has done well.

Haven't watched in years, won't watch this year either. I don't need the Grammys to tell me what is worthy of praise. It's rare that I have discovered anything by Grammy hype.

I'm hoping that an H&T nom next year might translate into more sales for VC. Apart from that, I'll be picking out my socks for the next day when the show is on. The same people, year after year, slapping each other on the back. Yuk.
