orange county register has a pretty typical article here (http://www.ocregister.com/articles/carlton-tour-album-2090238-musician-heroes)... ending with:

So what's the next chapter in the life of Vanessa Carlton?

From the looks of it, it is likely that she will continue on with her successful career as a musician in addition to many adventurous travels along the way. After the tour, Carlton is scheduled to play at Cape Farewell in the Arctic and also hopes to hit the film industry in the near future.

I am happy that she wants to do film, but i want her to still make music!

Well, it doesn't say that she's going to do any sort of acting, per se.  She's been interested in doing some film scores, correct?  I think that's what she meant.  There's that bunch of songs she wrote with Stephan for The Chronicles of Narnia, right?
