Umm.. I had a fun night with my girls, but when I was supposed to see my Valentine later he had fallen asleep and stood me up. And then today he told me he's in love with me and it's not mutual (we went into it just being friends) so now we can't see each other anymore. Isn't Valentines day wonderful? haha

If it makes peeps here with tales like Holly's feel any better; I spent almost
12 hours locked out of my apartment. When it was clear I couldn't expect a
call back from the agent or landlord with a spare key, I had to resort to the
locksmith option. AU$95 later I was into my place but with no cash left to do
anything to impress the girl I'd planned to catch up with that night! I hope
she'll understand the circumstances I found myself in for Valentines Day :oops:

My Valentine's Day was boring...
We had the day off since it was the 3rd anniversary of the death of our Prime Minister Rafik El Hariri......
So,yeah...i stayed in my PJs all day...watching MTV and reading Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows for the zillionth time! :lol:
I also blared Heroes&Thieves on my stereo til my mom nearly killed me and I was forced to listen to V on my MP3

Valentine's Day blows goats. It's another reason for the wife/gf/significant other to stick their grubby hands out.

Seriously, with birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other occasions, I'm expected to come up with a big ticket item every 6 weeks....in addition to everything else.

The alternative? I'd like to go over to Wags' house. He's always doing something interesting.

I think this is the first year we did annnnythign, mostly because everyone would be asking me about it... but Pete got me flowers, I got him candy & we went out to dinner, but I don't like Valentine's Day. I think it's annoying because people try & outdo each other. I think anyone who consistently buys their SO expensive gifts on Vday deserves a kick in the groin.

oh but I want to add that it's a good opportunity to not feel guilty about going out to dinner & leaving the perfectly good food in the fridge for another day =D

yeah I did nothing. It was pretty much just school everyone being happy student council putting up stupid cheesy paper hearts on all the lockers and walls (which took a long time I can imagine) only to be torn down 5 hours later.... but I got home and did nothing.

I had a night in with one of my roomies... pizza and wings and movies. But I got flowers from my ex boyfriend. 30 tulips. Was completely unexpected and definitely threw me off... not sure where things are headed with that.

I know how that feels. It felt good to buy those heart shaped candies with "be mine" and other various written stuff on them a few days before. They were gone the same day. The rest of my valentine's isn't even worth mentioning. I feel a craving for a gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream right about now. :razz:

Anything beats getting a chocolate vagina from a old old gay guy, which did happen several years back. That is what you might call depressing...*sigh*
