taking this from my post in the other thread:

I'm feeling good about this! London lyrics!
-----------------------------------

.....

Walk London's windy streets
He waits for me at home
But I wonder the secrets
That only cobble stones hold
Only the cobble stones know
...

Isn't it WINDING streets? and I hear WANNA KNOW the secrets instead of wonder

Yeah, it's "wanna know" (obviously) and "winding streets".

This is such a beautiful song. I listened to it a couple of time and I think is sth like this:

Verse 1
I waste away the days
Waiting on a new age
But time betrays
And I get older one more year

Verse 2
Walk london windy streets
He waits for me at home
But wonder the secrets
That only cobble stones hold
Only the cobble stones, no

Chorus
And Ive never been sure
That after all these years
All that I've learned
Is that heavenly creatures
Never came
Never came
Never came

Verse 3
Got a knife-throwing kind of love
But your silence cuts the deepest
And I know I've made a mess of things
And I'm sorry for all that
Wish we could go the time back

Chorus
Cause Ive never been so sure
That after all these years
All that I've learned
Is that heavenly creatures
Never came

Wait for
Wait for

Bridge
Earth will turn when we're gone
So we pray that Heaven waits on us
But the wolves howl to the Moon
And she never answers back
No she never answers back

Chorus
But after all these years
All that I've learned
Is that heavenly creatures never
Never been so sure
That after all these years
All that I've learned
Is that heavenly creatures
Never come

Ah, ah

I waste away the days
Waiting on a new age.

What do you think she is talking about? Personally I think is kinda of a break up because of the:  "heavenly creatures never come back" and especially "Verse 3: Wish we could go the time back". I don't know, she also plays a lot with things related to time like: "Waiting on a new age" or "But time betrays and I get older one more year"... So, what do you think, guys? I hope she puts this song on her new CD...
xoxo

Intro for the right hand is..

B G# E B F# C#  B G# E F# C# E B G# F# B E  B A G# B E B E E F# C#

I only got the first four keys of the left hand which is.. E G# C# F then some chord I can't transcribe. XD

The chords for the left hand are E, C#m and A.

I'm gonna try and write the sheet music for it at the weekend, unless someone manages to get there before I do.

The quality of the London songs are a bit dull. I can't transcribe the pattern of the keys when she starts singing. Anyone know? :D

Edit: My left hand transcription is wrong. It's B E C# F# and Chord E C#m A[thanks Martin.!]

Sorry for the double post but I was able to transcribe the chorus! XD

RightHand: B B A G# B C# E G#

Left Hand: B E G# E  C# E G# E A E E A E E A E

You can clearly hear how it's played in 2:20-2:31 of video

Hello all.
I'm sort of a neophyte at transcribing sheet music, so this is probably as far as I'll get with this. The intro was kinda iffy since she's played it slightly differently in the two videos I had to compare. But I have here the intro and the verse, and a bit of the vocals. For funsies. I dunno, maybe this will get someone out there motivated to finish it?

edit:
Did I say I wouldn't figure it out? I meant give me a minute. There might be some mistakes, but I'm pretty sure this is right.
Also, thanks to the people who figured out the notes. I always suck at that.

taking this from my post in the other thread:

...But I wonder the secrets

That after all these years, all that I've learned
Is that heavenly creatures never come...

Nice work Andrew, but I get "But I wonder what secrets" & "Is that all heavenly creatures never come"

The transcription certainly pairs up with the other version so accurate sheet music must be close by 8)

Peace
