Uncle Tom's Cabin
« on: April 02, 2010, 04:28:38 am »
I found this excerpt from Uncle Tom's Cabin  that reminds me of Vanessa's song "More Than This". :)
Let me know what you think.

"It was like that hush of spirit which we feel amid the bright mild woods of autumn, when the bright hectic flush is on the trees and the last lingering flowers by the brook; and we joy in it all the more, because we know that soon it will all pass away."
Harriet Beecher Stowe

Uncle Tom's Cabin is one of my most favorite books EVER! haha. I love the reality of the story.
The song may be over, but the music never ends.

Ya, I completely agree with you, Laura. More than this kinda tells about having grateful for what we have, anything you can name or wish, so to un-doubtfully decide that we don't need any more than this. :)

Walden, or Life In The Woods by Henry David Thoreau is very much similar. I would supply a quote but i went through my computer and deleted all of my school work from the school year XD
