This is the song she wrote in guitar? It's awesome!  ;D

If she also write great songs in guitar, I guess it would be cool if she go out of her piano zone. ;)

Do you guys think that 'Tennessee' is a real part of the lyrics or she just changed it because it was the place she was in?

at the nashville show she said something about the song is fitting because of being in tennessee
it's part of the song, no special lyrical changes due to location.

I think there was something she changed in the lyrics in the first verse, the philosophy part to be particular. I just can't make it out.

Meh, I liked 'new philosophy' better...I wonder which one it'll be on the album version...

I think she's going to use "fresh" in her record for that is what she's been using for the last past shows.

What last past shows? :O
I only have two recordings of it - the one from the Nashville Pride show and the one from the Enlow Hall one. Am I missing something?  ???

Well, she used 'fresh' in Ann Taylor's Fashion Night Out and in Kean University. That two were the latest ones. That's what I meant. (:

There's something about the line "Kings under lavender skies" that just gets me.

And there's sooo much depth and meaning in the way she sings it. It amazes me!

I agree. It's my top favorite. That's it, before 'And love comes back around again, it's a carousel, my friend' came. (:

I think this song should be a single, it could find a wider audience than most of her other songs. I love it!! Nice to hear guitar  :)

This song is absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it - the moment she started singing - definitely got me even more pumped for ROTR.

One thing though - I've been listening to it on repeat for the past couple of days and, as much as I love it, I can't picture it being something most people would want to listen to. By most people, I mean non-NESSAholics. Most of us love it, well, because it's typical Vanessa and we love V, but I just can't picture it playing on the radio. Thoughts?

I find the opposite.  I think it would be a perfect radio single out of all the songs we have heard.  It's more upbeat and has kind of a girl-power message in it that is going around a lot lately (girl power in that she doesn't have to give up her name/identiy/get married in order to have a soul mate/long term significant other).  In today's world of hollywood hookups and divorces, marriage has become less and less of a sacred union it once was thought to be, and with gay rights issues, it's the perfect message that I think V would want to send - we don't need to get married to show our love, and until EVERYONE has the right to marry, why do it?  I heard this song shortly after I got married, and was like...why did I get married?? LOL I didn't NEED to get married.   ;) Just funny how she always makes me think and ponder life!
